Always interesting to see the process :)

I'm curious... have you guys given any thought to if these will be on the DVDs? It seems like they should, but considering they're about twice as long as the videos I would think they'd drive up the number of DVDs you need pretty significantly.

Should Spot appearances in Loading Time videos be added to the Spot wiki?

We have given it thought, and we're not sure how to do it.

These seem like DVD features, but they're also kind of a self-contained series, sort of?
We're not sure if these get bundled in with a season (and make that season's set huge) or if they should go on their own set.

On the bright side, you have 3 DVD sets left before it really becomes an issue.

Well, if you wan't some administrative issues you can worry about now - how long does loading time have to be a weekly series before it magically transforms from a bonus video into a series?

I do really enjoy these, and hope "Graham raging at the organization of the props" becomes a recurring segment :P

Probably pretty soon. I think Paul's doing up some graphics soon.

Was the lobster's rightful bin ever determined?

Also, I could kind of see this as a sort of directors commentary appended to a standard season DVD, except that all of the commentaries so far have exceeded the length of the actual sketch that I wouldn't be sure where it would fit. I mean, I think it would be cool to see a "What we did" then a "How we did it", but it kinda messes up the flow... and triples the overall length.

I have to say that I really like the bonus videos. We get to see the blood, sweat, and large amounts of smoke that turn a humble apartment into a post-apocalyptic waste land. Also the journey through the land of props that Graham is giving us is very fun.

As for the lobster, I'm guessing it goes in the bin marked ocean animals misc. but that's just a guess. :)

Pro tip: I keep my tripod shoe attached to my camera, so there's no chance of forgetting it. It's a method that has served me well for years.

I really liked the SR71 Blackbird poster in this video. That is all.

Problem is that the dolly probably uses a different shoe from the tripod, so they need to switch between the two anyway.

This video was actually really long already, so we didn't, but I can give you a quick rundown.

    • Major colour correcting, obviously.
    • Two layers: one normal, one on top at 50% opacity with a radial blur centered on the Banshee's head.
    • Whenever the Banshee speaks, the upper layer gets an Earthquake effect, also centred on its head.

That's the short version.

Kathleen and Paul seem really in sync when they were recording the lines. Is this something they had to work on/rerererecord or did it just kind of click.

Thanks. I understand the Loading Times aren't meant to be all-encompassing. I also listen to the podcast, but I wasn't sure if you'd get into it.

There are several cast and crew members who's homes can be determined from the videos if you want to watch every episode frame by frame and be a super creepy internet stalker.

Also Grahams apartment number has been shown in previous episodes...installments...videos.

This is Paul's house for example.

And Bill bought this place, that is why he isn't in the videos anymore, he cant swim.

I was really impressed with the visual effects on this video, so seeing a loading time for it was really cool. I probably won't watch all of them, due to time constraints, but it's really good to know that these things exist!! I'd like to see them included in the set (maybe a single BD-R with all the files just burned onto it? :P)

Was Annika getting ready for more My Cat Hates? "My Cat Hates being told to get out of the way when we're trying to shoot a video" :D

This is true, however I'm sure Annika would find more creative ways of expressing displeasure.

By making fire? The place is already full of smoke and there's a sign to dispel concern, it's the perfect crime.
