PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
Re: PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
I was super busy pulling double enforcer shifts all over the place, and didn't even see fugi the whole weekend, even though I meant to talk to him at some point. I was astounded at how many enforcers weren't very good at making lines work, and were winding up with queuees full of annoyed people.

Yeah I can understand how PAX could be overwhelming. That's actually one of the big reasons I paid for my BYOC ticket. It wasn't so much having my computer there, it was also just having a place to drop my stuff off, sit and relax for a few minutes.

My roommates and I agreed that PAX was like living inside the internet for 3 days... with less porn.

Well - the way I hear it - from what you say you just weren't finding the right hotel rooms.

I heard a rumor about a cosplay porn being filmed in the Weston but that just sounds too funny to be true.

Try as I might I won't be able to attend PAX Prime this year either I thought I might make it a birthday gift to myself but it turns out I have rugby obligations over Labour Day weekend. How can I get my nerd and LRR on otherwise?! Poo...

Aww, but this is the only way I'll ever be able to meet you fabulous people. And I know that seeing me is your strongest compulsion to go >.>

But if you take the costumes off, it isn't cosplaying anymore... unless... Do you think that Mass Effect armor had special "hatches"?
EDIT: Oh no, I just got a mental image of porn where they are wearing cardboard Minecraft and Creeper heads. "Oh yes, yes, yessssssssssssssssss BOOM!"

After Pax East my #1 "If I win the lotto" wish is.
LRR Con, with free plane tickets and rooms.

I'm seriously considering flying out for Prime. I've never been to Seattle so it might be a worthwhile trip in and of itself.

I am seriously considering Prime as well. From Windsor to Seattle seems like it'd be quite the adventure.

Re: PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
I miss all my friends already. I have to admit that meeting Fugi and Hosk was really cool, and the genuine concern and support for my upcoming thyroid gauntlet really made me feel wonderful. Seriously, I walked up to the LRR table on Friday, and Kathleen got up, gave me a big hug, and the first thing she said to me was "I saw this on your Facebook and I really wanted to ask, how's your thyroid?" I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less, but still, it made me feel loved and cared for.
In unrelated news, I wonder if I should post my home address for people to send get well cards and stuff... except it'd be really easy for people to send me tentacle porn or something.

Knowing this community it'd be Marmite Iguana Porn and Clubs.

I would knit you something... but I can't promise it wouldn't involve tentacles. And of course we care, Tak! You're awesome and we love you.

Definitely tempted to go to either Prime or East next year... It's just whether it's worth the £700/£500 plane tickets alone.

Re: PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
Back from PAX!! Well, we got back yesterday afternoon but we were so tired and in a post-PAX daze that we weren't really capable of much of anything...
But I did film the panel! Or as much as I could anyway. I'm working on getting that ready for youtube - I'll post the link as soon as its up!

Re: PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
Back yesterday, now I'm fully recovered.
Thanks everyone who had good things to say about the BitN hat. I almost didn't make it, had those doubts of "It's kinda stupid, no one's gonna like it", all those little bits of "Wow, that's really cool" meant a lot more than I can state.
I didn't get a chance to meet as many of you as I would have liked to, but I'm glad to have talked to as many of yinz as I could.
I'll see yinz at Prime, where with luck Bump in the Knight will appear...

Re: PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
Each year I think PAX can't get any head-explodingly better, and then it does. And then my head explodes.
It was so amazing. SO AMAZING. Augh! Post PAX blues are hitting hard. Everyone was wonderful.
Also, Hosk: I don't blame you. I hate the crowds, and I've really grown to hate the expo floor. I can't take more than fifteen or twenty minutes of it at a time (which sucks because I got stuck battling pokemon challengers down there all the time!), it just makes my head spin. Maybe, if you decide it's worth your time to go again, you can make it your quest to stick to the smaller rooms and things, like classic console freeplay. And for panels like the LRR panel, do what I did and get there ten minutes late: there was tons of room in the back, and I was able to sit without sitting in anyone's lap, and I could see just fine. (Sure, I didn't get showered with your Bumps, but... that's alright.)
