*High Five* Nice job!

I upgraded one set of dumbbells today from 40 -> 55 which is what I thought I would be for chest exercises but I think the 55's are going to be where my biceps are at which means for free weights for chest I will need to go heavier... especially since I was able to put the 55's up pretty easy on the bench already averaging around 12 reps. T.T why are weights so expensive?

I am going to load up my old weights this weekend and see how much I can get for them at a used sporting goods store.

1325 point workout? Not bad. #humblebrag

Can anyone take a gander at my workout and look at what I can/should add vis-a-vis upper body stuff?

Farmer's walk, seated dumbbell shoulder press, side lateral raise, maybe cable woodchoppers for more core engagement?

I strongly recommend Starting Strength to anyone and everyone. It gets much better results much faster than the average program.

Just bought my groceries for the next two weeks and my supplements for the next three months.

Hopefully this diet and exercise routine thins out more than my wallet..

I've got my Whey Protein for post workout. Someone recommended SuperPump for pre-workout and Omega3's to take in the morning and night.

Just started the Kris Gethin regimen today. I will start posting weekly photos next week to see if we can play 'Spot the Definition'!(Hint: We probably won't be able to for the first few weeks)

Eat only good food, 6 meals a day with proper portions. Then just working out 2 days on, 1 day off working your muscle groups to failure.

Cardio even on your off days and cardio right after breakfast. You could probably google and find it.

OK, so is anyone else getting really annoyed by the automatic props? What's up with that? It can't be real because they show up the instant I input something.

Also, yay for being on the first page again. It's been a while.

Yeah. Also the new website layout sucks (side scrolling? No thanks) and the app is hardly good.

Gaaaah. I fell off the wagon. Between a couple of trips, being sick, and then being a little busy I've spent very little time at the gym lately beyond the occasional run. Rugby practice is starting to pick up steam, though I've been missing a bunch of that due to separate issues. Grumble. Must fix!

This week, I started going to the gym before work. It means getting up earlier (6AM) but we'll see if I can stick to it. It means fewer excuses (after work I'm tired, or had to work late, want to spend time with wife, other commitments etc.), and the gym is less busy which makes it easier to do my routine and not wait for other people.

It also means I get to slam a little cho-mo (my word for chocolate milk) before work. :)

I bought new running shoes today. I went for a 10.6 km run to break them in. They seem have a good effect on me - I ran the route in 60 minutes flat, 5 minutes faster than my previous best time on the same route and only a couple seconds a kilometre off the pace of the 10 km race I ran in December.

I also dinged 15.

I'll be posting pictures and my weigh-in tomorrow for week one of the diet. I think it went somewhat well. Maybe a pound or two.

I'm on a bit of a diet now, but I've also lost access to my gym (graduated college). I'm going to check out the local YMCA, I'll join if they've got more than 2 squat racks. Otherwise I'll be searching local gyms.

There is a black iron gym that is $90/month, a huge Boston Sports Club that is $180/month, and a crossfit gym that is $150/month. I'd like to do crossfit, but I can't afford it. The black iron place looks amazing, but I'd rather not spend that much. The Y should be 30, so I'm hoping that'll work for me.
