Punctu-action

Some punctuation marks should remain firmly on the page.

"That" "was" "a" "weird" "video""," "but" "entertaining" "none" "the" "less""." "The" "stinger" "was" "great""."

I saw the title, and I was concerned that it was going to be about action hero punctuation marks, because then we'd be seeing bloodied up periods, and no one needs to see that.

Thankfully, Andy went highbrow, although it was a little Ionesco-esque in the absurdist side of things for me.

This episode actually made me a bit sad to be honest. Just because I could see myself reacting the same way if people started doing it to me. Plus the stinger with the "his" children was slightly more depressing in it's implications.

Good episode, just found it slightly depressing.

At least the stinger confirmed the wife and kids were safe, not just "safe".

Yes, but were the kids his or were they "his"?

Holy GOD that was annoying.
It makes me want to "never" use sarcastic air quotes ever again.

I was thinking/hoping that Graham's "heart attack" was actually just his immune reaction to him coming down with a contagious disease that forces you to make unnecessary air quotes while talking. And then the stinger would be him getting mad at himself for using them inappropriately.

e.g.
Graham: I "can't" stop doing "this".
James: So you can stop?
Graham: ARRRRRRG

I actually think that would have been a better ending, but oh well.

This was still "good" but it seemed a bit "darker" at the end than "normal"(totally non-ironic use of quotes!)

That felt strange. I don't know if I liked it, but on the other hand I don't know if I didn't. Very well put together. Just it being simultaneously dark and surreal felt....strange.

I know you guys don't really want to be actors (or maybe that was just Kathleen), but to pull all that off as well as you guys did showed off some pretty good acting skills.

I would echo this video being strange. Watching I did not feel it worked. Having Candace run in and say the house was on fire felt contrived and forced as did Limpy Dave's appearance at the end.

The stinger however was hilarious.

Do not take this as saying you should not do strange humour. Please experiment with your humour. I would rather you tried something daring and have it not quite work rather than you do something safe and uninspired.

I like "dark" comedy as well to be honest. Even when the implications of the humor can have somewhat "horrible" consequences (see: Four Lions). I'm just a bit of a "pansy" and "overthink" everything. Like the fact that the family had "lost" everything in the fire most likely as well as the father figure. It makes me a bit "sad." But thankfully it's only fiction so I then cheer up and go back to burning things.

EDIT: Also, I do agree with some of the others that this episode felt a bit off. It felt similar to the Formal Complaint episode to me, in both good and bad. But I still found the episode funny and enjoyable. No matter how "depressing" it could be seen in some views.

This episode seemed to be written purely to "anger" Fayili.

Also, yay for dark comedy. I enjoy it more than I probably should.

Was anyone else exciting when they saw the title because they thought Yatzee was going to be in it, disappointed to find out he wasn't, then happy when they ended up liking the video anyways?

Didn't even occur to me. That said, if you'd like to see a LRR collaboration with Yahtzee this may interest you.
