Dutch guy wrote:Just watched episode 9 again. Something I'm wondering now is, how did Meelo know it was 6 in the morning when picking up the phone? I've never seen a clock in the air temple rooms and he doesn't seem to have time to even look at it (if he can even read a clock to begin with, since he's only 5)

I'd assumed that it was one of those things that kids pick up from hearing someone else do it, and then just spewed out, regardless of whether its correct or not. To me, at least, it sounded like something Tenzin would likely say if he were woken by the phone and that Meelo would then absorb.

Oh hey, Korra is just about to start airing in Australia.

Except I've already seen the entire series.

That is amazing. I wonder if the Beifong family is still as wealthy as it was in The Last Airbender?

I can't imagine Toph spent ALL of their money on hookers and blow....

Then again, after running away, it's questionable whether she got ANY of their money. :(

I think it's more likely she ploughed it into the fledgeling police force.

Even if, after saving the world, becoming a hero, and helping found a new city-state, her parents still decided to disown her and cut her out of the inheritance...could they really stop her from taking it, regardless? After all, the Earth King does owe her a favour or two, and it's not like she had any brothers that we know of to contest the inheritance anyways.

Jester is probably right on where most of the money ended up, though there is probably still a considerable estate that continues to generate income.

Toph may have been the greatest earthbender in the world, but she was lousy with money.

So after making a vast fortune traveling the world as THE GREATEST EARTHBENDER IN THE WORLD, ya know, moving mountains, stopping erupting volcanoes, building extensive road and canal systems, carving cities out of stone, and basically performing miracles in exchange for a bit of money here and there, she went and invested it all in a miraculous new Cabbage-Slug Repellant tech-firm that went belly up and bankrupted her, forcing her to live off of a meager pittance of... oh wait, shit, no, that didn't happen because she could just EARTH-BEND ROCKS INTO GOLD.
