I appreciate it, but I'm fine. :p I'm not trying to bitch so much as let my thoughts out. My plan as of now is to try out the new place and, worst comes to worst, take a break from FNM until the last block and core set cycle out. It's not ideal, but it's not like I'm just going to give up.

It's the same reason I always get a turn four victory when playing a game "for fun" against someone who has just trounced me 2-0 in a tournament.

While I do like that image, I think it'd be better if it actually went with the complimentary colors next to each other. So the order should have gone Blue, white, green, red, black in my opinion.

But that's more me just nerding out a bit at it. :p

Well, my LGS is officially hosting Legacy now, due to enough player base and interest, which is awesome.

Legacy has a lot more different decks because in vintage the power of a few decks are so great that a lot of decks can't compete

By opening up the list to restricted cards, vintage actually limits deck builds to the most obscene deck wins.

Of course, when I started playing Legendary Creatures were restricted because that was part of the Legend Rule. It's funny because most of the Legends back then were pretty terrible.

So, just ordered some cards from card kingdom for a potentially super annoying but fun multiplayer deck.

4x Exquisite Blood
4x Rhox Faithmender
4x Mindcrank
4x Soul Conduit

Inspired by idly flicking through some keyword rules text on my phone at the pub: Rule 701.8c. When life totals are exchanged, each player gains or loses the amount of life necessary to equal the other player’s previous life total. Replacement effects may modify these gains and losses, and triggered abilities may trigger on them.

I ask you, LRR fans, what shell should I slip this monstrosity into? My current thought is black/white life drain, something that doesn't need the life-total shenanigans to win.

So... someone at FNM draft tonight said they were sick of having Door to Nothingness going around every draft and no-one running it... so they decided to force Door to Nothingness, building a 5-colour durdley control deck.

No Doors to Nothingness were cracked in the draft.

They came last.

They described the deck as "Door to Nothingness, without the Door... so just 5-colour Nothingness."
While no one overhear you quickly tell me not cow cow.

@DarkAbyssKeeper
Mindcrank is only good in a combo with Bloodchief Ascension, because they cause each other to trigger repeatedly for an instant kill once the Ascension is online.

Mindcrank alone does nothing, as the life loss will kill them before the mill.

Volafortis, Mindcrank is in there to be disruptive. When using Soul Conduit, no-one is going to die. However if two players have a large life-total difference then it will mill for a lot when the life totals are switched.

Mindcrank is a secondary win condition as long as two opponents have different life totals, meanwhile if I have exquisite blood out, I gain life as well.

Also, quietly annoyed with myself I didn't add any Bonds of Agony to the order.

The reason nobody takes Door to Nothingness is because it's a terrible card. Somebody keeps trying to push them on me, and I keep telling them it's terrible. It's even worse without doubling cube, which only needed 1 mana of every color and 3 colorless, instead of 2 of each color.

Holy crap I found a bot that traded me my 4 M12 boosters for 4 M13s I want to buy more M12's and trade them up but im sure I would get hosed. I was just searching for any bot that would buy them for more than 1 ticket each and came across one that said "ill trade any 1 of yours for 1 of mine" I figured "its only gonna have like 50 fifth dawn and 5 8th edition packs for trade but they had ISD, DA, and AVR as well as M12 and 13, so WOOT
