Was a little unsure of this one, but it all came together in the last bit. Good show.

Is it wrong that I want to interpret the stinger as "You know, I did come in here for a torture device, but forget that; tiny coffee sounds great!"

Paul looks so excited about the prospect of tiny cups of coffee.

And here I thought this would be about maidens fair, and such. I guess I wasn't thinking evilly enough.

This one was smile-worthy until the ending and stinger made it LOL-worthy. :D

I'm just glad I figured out what a maiden was before the video ended.

However, this Google search I'm conducting now isn't leading to what I thought it would.

Edit: Ah, I see the "iron" part was actually necessary.

I was expecting it to be more like "What kind of maiden do you want?" "I'd like a fair maiden please." "Would you like some iron maiden to go with that?" "No thanks, I'm not a big fan of their music."

bu-bu-how can you NOT be a fan?!? ;)

But yeah, I was expecting Andy to be looking for a 'miss' while Kathleen was hawking the torture devices; the twist made it all the funnier.

(and I agree with Andy - K's sales pitch was EXEMPLARY!)

And Paul's sudden eagerness?

Great 'wait for it' video!

That last line was spectacular. I was grinning at the whole video up to that point, but I'm still laughing at the punch line.

It's pity Andy did't give his character a more military background. I'm sure he would have serenaded all about the joys of being a modern maiden general.

Is a maiden a type of coffee machine?

I have never heard the term and google doesnt come up with anything.

First: He is looking for a companion but got caught up in the sales pitch, which was funny.
Then: Oh he is just thinking of the wrong term and got caught up, still funny.
Stinger: Wait is that a real thing? Im not laughing anymore im curious.

Well, I would like an aluminum maiden with an eight of an inch bronze coating over it - it combines all the good aspects of portability, durability, respect to tradition and it is a subtle - not ostentatious - display of wealth.

I would also like to order it with the double-hipster option - filled with plush animals, and the plush animals are mounted on bronze spikes. And a few sets of replacement plush animals, because getting the blood out of those just isn't worth the time.

The torture device.

I know what the torture device is metal coffin spikes inside frequent decorator peice in the living rooms of goth/macabre People.

I missed the repeated expreso maker part. Was andy just thinking the wrong term? Which is funny.

I was wondering if I was missing some actual connection to coffee.

OH! No, there isn't one. The whole coffee machine thing is supposed to come completely out of nowhere.

Thank you for clarifying, I was wracking my brain trying to figure out the subtle deeper second joke.

Apparently the second joke was me thinking there was a second joke.

Well played LRR, well played.

Well, the first espresso machines were actually torture devices retrofitted to brutalize the flavor out of coffee beans, so I can understand the confusion.
