Re: Normal Activity
I laughed SO HARD.
Oh my goodness. That was hilarious. Graham is the best ghost. BEST GHOST. And the writing was brilliant. I'd be angry too if I had to watch Bee Movie. And them giving him shit about Beetlejuice...
I love this video. So. Much.
Edit: Also, yay Jer! Good to see him again. And yay Kate! Always great to see her get to act, and not just have boom duties.
Edit edit: OK can I please be authorized to punch everyone in the escapist thread in the face? Seriously. Goddamnit. :/

But where did he get the spectral scissors with which to cut the eyes out? Did the residents accidentally stab some scissors once?

Decent video this week. I had no strong emotions either way though I enjoyed the scene of Jer stabbing the undies.
Gonna have to echo ditto on the Escapist face-punching though, their arms are t-rexing and they're doing the creep.

I was really hoping that they would set up a netflix for him in exchange for some sort of ghostly services.
But I guess stabbing underwear is cool too.

I completely lost it at the stabbing. Jer's face was priceless. "Are they... dead?" And then Graham-ghost just pulls the ghost-underwear out! I am still giggling.

Amazingly diplomatic. I don't know how you did it. I want to set them all on fire.

Great update guys loved the ghostly underwear and that the ghost had crusty undies on since the 70s is terrifying!

Re: Normal Activity
So, when was the point at which you realized that you could say pretty much anything for the Boom credit?
It's been a while since we've had the title of the sketch on screen, was there any reason for doing that this time?
And now you've got me wondering where the whole "ghost in a sheet" stereotype comes from. Insanely low budgets?
I love the dynamic here: Jer's bewildered straight man / Graham's ghost following arbitrary rules / Kate...
Woah.
Kate Snark.
It TOTALLY WORKS.

Re: Normal Activity
It was back when someone mentioned "Doom Booties" rather than "Boom Duties" and it just went from there. People actually have standard terms now, such as BOOM! = Kate, Boomsmith = Kathleen, Beej = Beejoom, etc.WAYF wrote:So, when was the point at which you realized that you could say pretty much anything for the Boom credit?

Re: Normal Activity
Just went and read the comments on The Escapist and I'm not really that surprised. It would be nice if more people online could show respect and not act like every woman online is there just to be lusted after. They really need to show some respect not just for Kate but also for Graham, that is his sister after all I'm sure he doesn't want to read comments about her every time she appears in a video.

Moral of this video: always wear clean underwear, lest you be bound to this Earth for all eternity (or until someone kills a pair of underwear).
I did not expect that ending, awesome video guys!

Comments about her doing a great job are obviously not the problem. You know that.

Well, what do you expect when the Internet is filled with... OK, I'll rephrase that... The Internet isn't filled with horny, immature teenage boys... It's just that the most vocal members of the Internet tend to be horny, immature teenage boys.Foxmar wrote:Just went and read the comments on The Escapist and I'm not really that surprised. Yes. LoadingReadyRun is made up entirely of gorgeous people. Every single one of them is beautiful. We know this. It is well established.
But it's disrespectful and creepy and rude that it seems that any time the female crew members are on-screen and AREN'T wearing a horrendous wig, there's always a torrent of comments lusting after their appearance. It's not just the Escapist. It's on the Penny Arcade forums too in the Checkpoint threads. You would never do that in real life, and if you did, it would be sexual harassment. I want to kick all their butts until they knock it off. It's too bad I'm not a moderator on there because I would do it. I would set fire to the rain. And by rain I mean creeps.

Re: Normal Activity
We all know that I just don't think its respectful for every other post to be about that when the comments should be more about the video itself and less about "Kate. In a tank top" being repeated about 10 times. I thought the video was great and Kate, Jer and Graham did great jobs in there roles.
I agree with AlexanderDitto, if you ran into Kate or any other woman you saw online you wouldn't go "OMG you were so hot in that tank top!" People just don't do that in real life, so why is it ok to do it online? Because its not face to face doesn't make it any less disrespectful.

This is so true! And its not like Kate and I mind getting compliments like "you look really nice in this week's video" or "wow, you have lost weight and you look really nice" -- those are perfectly acceptable things to say to people in real life and on the internet. But stuff like "MIDRIFF!" and "DEM HIPS, DROOL DROOL" crosses the line.

2. You don't have to tell me. (Not sure if you're actually telling me or just being general.) I was the first one to jump on the thread to warn Kathleen regarding this incident in CheckPoint.
