Yeah but I'm a leftie so I use arrows on right hand, and a strange combination of keys on left hand that still allows me to reach down to the touchpad.

As I've heard quite a few people on these boards talk about it:
FTL and FTL: The soundtrack edition are 50% off on steam.
(I have too many games to play as it is though)

God yes, awesome game. The sale reminded me I had it and clocked in another few more hours and unlocked another ship. Definitely worth the money if you ever wanted to command a Serenity esque ship in Star Trek style.

FTL is definitely worth it.
All problems can be solved by trebuchets and/or fire.

Re: Steam Sales Awareness Thread!
Okay, so I fell asleep at the computer here, and just woke up and was closing down tabs, when I'd checked my inbox...
And Steam dropped me a line to let me know that a game on my wishlist was on sale: Quantum Conundrum...
the really odd thing is, the email (and my wishlist) says that the sale is "100% off" (technically MORE, as the end price comes out to be $-0.01 (?)
Of course, they both state the pre-discount price of the game is $19.99, while QC's store page itself says it's only $14.99 and the discount is 50% off, bringing it down to a more reasonable (yet still appealing) $7.49...

These steam sales keep getting worse by the year. How can anyone resist that?

Re: Steam Sales Awareness Thread!
Free weekend for Chivalry (Along side a 50% discount) and I have to say, it is Chivalriffic. I've had a fair bit of fun with hacking apart my enemies.
Not sure 12.50 is what I'd want to pay for it (I've seen it far cheaper,) but for now it is free and quite entertaining.

Re: Steam Sales Awareness Thread!
I might try Chivalry, it's looks okay, but I've always felt that it looked a bit of a copy of mount and blade (granted, a better looking copy).
Now I can see if I was right or not.

Re: Steam Sales Awareness Thread!
If QC really is 1 cent get it. It's not an amazing game, but it's a portal wannabe with John DeLancie in the GladOS role, what's not to like?

Re: Steam Sales Awareness Thread!
I would like to amened my accusation that Chivalry is like Mount and Blade. Because it isn't. Mount and Blade is far, FAR, better game as it would be an insult to mention the two games in the same breath.
Seriously, no wonder they're having to give away a free weekend, I don't see why any one else would play it, let alone pay for it. The only thing that Chivalry has over Mount and Blade is its gore and limbs falling off. And y'know, that isn't much of selling point for me, seeing how the rest of the game is bad and it's AI...SOOOO bad.
I mean, I was playing a couple of rounds with bots, and they kept getting stuck in the walls and didn't even attempt ANY of the objectives. And the objectives aren't even that complex either. A simple "go here" and "do that". It wasn't asking for complex maths solutions. I played one where I was able to commando most of it because NEITHER the enemy or my allies managed to do the simplest piece of path finding.
Okay, I know that this is designed more for a P2P multiplayer, but still, how can you make a game in this day and age with such poor AI?
Y'know what, at the risk of me ranting for another few paragraphs I'm just going to stop now. And sum up saying that this game is perhaps one of the worst I've played in a while. Thanks Steam for allowing me to scratch this game off my wishlist.

Re: Steam Sales Awareness Thread!
See, all I needed to know about Chivalry, I learned from Jo Pereira:
But no worries, the game's still in beta...
Jo wrote:I'm blowing things a bit on this comic, but fire is everything but friendly in this game. While you can't spam fire pots (you only have one) the average lifespam of a soldier isn't long so they throw they fire pot, die and respawm with a fresh one.
Friendly fire is always on so isn't uncommon for your ally put you on fire while you are busy trying to fend off 2 enemies.
Fire won't kill you most of the time but will hurt you enough for a convenient arrow to finish the job.
All in all, a pretty accurate simulation of medieval warfare.
But no worries, the game's still in beta...

To The Moon is 66% off right now. GET THIS GAME NOW! It's more of an interactive story/adventure game but the story is so incredibly touching that I guarantee you, you will cry.
Very much worth the price.

Yeah, we Europeans get the short end of the stick (though not as bad as the Australians). Here in the Netherlands its € 7,49 (and yes, the euro is worth more than the dollar right now)

Fallen Enchantress is 66% off.
It's a turn-based-World-Domination-Magic-Game thing.
It's had, interesting reviews. Generally positive, but not enough to warrant the full price imo.
I'll tell you if it's fun.

Australia only has problems with the AAA side of things, other than that it's US pricing.
