Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Well, I did tell him it was entirely circumstantial evidence, and it could be coincidence, but saying that and having the server down 2 minutes later was suspicious to me. He did say he had a beta version of it, so it could be buggy.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
If it was buggy, it would only be able to crash his client, not the server.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Well, like I said, it seemed suspicious to me. Java's not acting right anyway on the server since I rebuilt it.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Oh hey, I was looking for a new minecraft server after LRRcraft went down. Can anyone link the access so I can play with you fine folks again? (My minecraft ID is LFMinerals, if there is a restriction of some sort.)
Totally accurate, except for all the times I'm not.

Did I break the server? I went to the nether yesterday and when i went back into the portal to leave the server crashed and seems to have been down since then

Oh, it's down again? Work has been a nightmare, so I haven't checked the server in a bit.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Ok we got a problem. I'm stuck in the nether and everytime I try to leave I crash the server somehow. Maybe it has something to do with having 2 gates so close to one another.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
That shouldn't have anything to do with anything.
However, I'm getting errors of chunks being in the wrong place, and then Java nullPointerExceptions, which then crash the server.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
State of the game address.
The server's more stable, though I'm occasionally still getting chunk errors are Java errors.
Smeghead: That lighthouse is AMAZING! I am in awe of it.
Jostain: Good work on your underground mines. I see you've found a few ravines with good stuff, as well as a slime-spawning area. Anyone else take you up on your RP idea?
empath: That tower is just ludicrous! Nice work on that. I saw some Endermen in your tree farm and your wheat farm. Just letting you know in case they griefed it. Also, I saw the community farms. I accidentally let 2 of the chickens out, and they immediately went to glitching through the floor. I saw you went down to bedrock, found lots of lava and obsidian, and you found a slime-spawning area, too.
Dutch Guy: I see you're working your mine and starting something circular. Not sure what it is, but I hope to see it completed.
King Kool: Not exactly sure what you're doing, but you've got plenty of mine to do it with.
Owl, Tom, and any others: I have no idea what you're up to, but I hope to see you online so I can check it out.
I myself decided to do some mining. I took 1 diamond pick, a stack of torches, and a stack of bread and headed out, seeing what I could do with just 1 pick. All the little caves around empath and Jostain's area are now one huge inter-connected cave. I also did some more undersea mining under my base. Found some interesting stuff before my pick finally broke.
Everyone: Keep up the good work, have fun, and let me know if you need anything. I think I'll get back to work on sprucing up the spawn area soon. (I took the ceiling off for now to keep people from spawning on the roof.)

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Finally got to 255 yesterday; I'll set up a little 'observation gallery' up there once I get some glass made, but it'll be temporary - with the final design, there won't be much of a view.
I plan to branch out from the central tower into a rather elaborate set of buildings; maybe one set of 'branches' above the cloud layer, and one below.
...I am gonna need a buttload of cobble, and probably a desert or two worth of sand-cum-glass.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
That circular structure will be a massive lighthouse. (Similar to, but slightly larger than the one I built on the LRRcraft server)
The caves under my island are MASSIVE, and just keep on going and going and going and going. (I've already got about 5 stacks of torches spread around and I think I might have explored about a 1/4 of whats under there)

You hit another chunk error on the way back. Where are you located on the map, by the way?owl+ bungee cord= my arse wrote:Went to the nether then came back and it crashed the server.

The cords are 1337:x 225:z I had to pull them from the rei minimap since I was standing in the portal when I logged back on and the sever crashed when I killed myself to get back.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
OK... I've figured out what's causing the problem, though not the solution yet. The problem is coming out of the Nether is causing chunks to be loaded in the wrong position. Please avoid the Nether for now until I get this fixed. I may have to do another re-install.

Well, if you do have to re-install, here's a little something to tide you over while twiddling your thumbs and watching progress bars:

Kool: Sorry about that issue. I have re-enabled command blocks.
Nice exit, though.

Since you weren't responding to me in the server, I surrounded you in bedrock and filled it with chickens.ex-Lurker wrote:I'm on the server now; how do I get out of the box, the buttons don't seem to work.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Someone's got to get me a mapping tool, if I can keep the server stable enough. If anything's wrong with the server, feel free to PM, email, or TXT message me.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Since going to the nether is so very unstable and risk crashing the server. Could you put a chest by spawn with firerods, nether warts and glowstone/dust?

Sure... Let me know what you're using them for and I'll spawn some for you.
