I'm REALLY hoping people take photos of their stuff and post it this year more than last! So interesting to see what everyone got/how it was wrapped. =D

Yeah! The best part about this event is seeing what people received. Unfortunately, the last two times we did this I never received links to the albums of my recipients.

The_Lone_Bard: CONFIRMINATED

Love LRR, Love the doctor. I play Warhammer 40k, World of DArkness and occasionally MTG. Though I'm drifting away from the actual MTG game nowdays. I spend most of my waking (And sleeping) hours listening to music, of all shapes and sizes, though generally of the rock-metal genres.(Go check the music threads, we've got like, 20 of them, and they're all likely 50% me posting.) This year I discovered hte lovely world of american candy! Reeses peices, pop tarts, grape soda, and let's just say I've lost significantly less weight since then. I also love books, and infact receive some amazing metal bookmarks from my secret santa last year, that I still use (Even though sadly, wally is still broken and glue won't take without the risk of permanant damage.) I guess, if people are still stumped for ideas, over the last two years I've prettymuch live blogged my life over the venting and win threads. But one last thing that I don't think you'd know here, I love foreign countrys. Mostly europe, or generally non english native countrys I guess you could say, I love their languages, cultures and in particular, awesome died out mythology. But anyway, yeah, go browse things! I post enough!

MrPayneTrayne : CONFIRMED.

Hi guys, I've been a LRRite since DB2 and I've only recently joined the forums. I use MrPayneTrayne, Mimickry or EHS Skamakazi for just about everything, so that should make stalking me a bit easier if I didn't put anything useful here....

WITH that being said, I'm a big fan of LRR (who isn't?), PurePwnage, and Penny Arcade. I play League of Legends, Halo, and have an everlasting boner for Deadrising 1/2. I also like to read MegaTOKYO, Scott Pilgrim (though I have all the SP) and random fantasy books when I poop. :D I also like interesting belt buckles. Finally, if you're totally lost, my shirt size is XL and I trust your judgment on something like ThinkGeek.

THE JESTER: CONFIRMED

I am a D&D player, LEGO enthusiast, and artist. I am a HUEG fan of LRR, and I also like Penny Arcade, Wheezy Waiter, Molly Lewis, and other internet celebrities who are also awesome nerdy people.

I also like RPG and RTS games. I'm a PC gamer. I prefer fantasy over Sci-Fi, but I do love me some Stargate and Star Trek. I am also a Pixar and Disney animation enthusiast, and I love cartoons like Fillmore! and Gravity Falls (if you've never seen either you should go check them out).

I love comics and books, too. Some favourite creators in these types of media include, in no particular order, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Mike Mignola, Gail Simone, Eoin Colfer, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and Robert E. Howard.

I prefer to choose my own tee shirts, because I am very picky. However, a Large would fit me just fine.

I should also note, and perhaps go and edit into my earlier post, that MTG and MLP make me
Image

If none of this gives you any ideas, you can always craft something and I will love it forever. :)

I don't own the last two Artemis Fowl books yet. Nudge nudge wink wink. ;)

I think the addition of a donation is a great idea and I'm fully on board with it. Just let me know exactly how!

Hooray! Thank you so much. I loved seeing these! I had forgotten some of the personal touches I added. It was especially fun sending out the "bad" gift early. I hope you enjoyed it all. :D

I felt horrible last year, since after almost two months of searching, the best I could come up with was half a tiny lego set, or thinkgeek gift vouchers.

I went with the voucher.

On the upside, I now live in a town that has things, things that sell whatsits! And doo-dads!

It doesn't help that aussie prices for things are... larger than the US.

For example, turns out a large value meal at maccas in the US is like, $3.50
Here it's more like $7-9

Which just puts lego straight out for whoever i get unfortunately. Because $10 of lego here is literally like, three square blocks and a flat piece.

Doo-dads? WHAT MADNESS IS THIS!?
.

but the bard argued, "A large selection of gifts!"
but kapol wouldn't have this, not until everyone was sad
"No thingzors or thangzors, no whatsits or derpits!
roo-rads, clangors, or fingtas in here!"
He thought for hours til he had a plan and finally jump up and shouted, "it's rad!"

Hmm.. Dr. Suess meets LRR forums.. That could be fun.

I assume "maccas" is McDonald's. Quoting that, a price for a large value meal is at least $5 and usually more like $7 around here.

Yes, it is short for McDonald's.

And I was just remembering a reddit thread that said a large spicy chicken (Or something like that, never heard of it here.) value meal was just shy of $4

And all I could think of after reading that was "...A large cheeseburger meal is like, $8.50 in a town where the average rent on a 3bedroom 2 bathroom house is $450 a week!"
