FANGAMER DESERT BUS SHIRTS OH MY GOODNESS
I am freaking out right now because I just got an email from fangamer and
LOOK AT THIS
LOOK AT THESE SHIRTS THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL
I am definitely getting one. DEFINITELY definitely. But which color?! AUGH I look good in cream I think but I ALSO like brown shirts they are so easy to wear and go with all sorts of things!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH HOW WILL I CHOOSE?!?!?!?!?
Which one are YOU getting because SERIOUSLY LOOK AT THESE HOW CAN YOU NOT GET ONE
Which one should I get?!?! Cream is more of a summery color and I only wear tshirts during the summer when it's hot
but brown is a bit classier I think. AUGH

The signage looks better on the cream one.
Go with that one.

I like how Cream is more colorful. But at the same time, the sign seems a bit hard to read. Brown is easier to read, but lacks as much 'pop' I think.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I agree, though upon reviewing my closet I realize I actually already have three shirts in cream, and no shirts in brown. So... I'm leaning toward brown.
Hurrrnggggggggggggggggggggg they're both so nice.

Re: FANGAMER DESERT BUS SHIRTS OH MY GOODNESS
I have a sad because once again the women's sizes don't actually fit this woman. Really wish shirt manufacturers would figure this shit out, I want to wear cool shirts too.
That said, I'll probably still get one of the unisex in each colour because I can't decide which I like better...and if I ever get around to modding them, I won't feel bad if I wreck one since I'll have a backup!
Well, I won't feel *as* bad, anyway.
ETA:
Because all grumbling aside, I'm still happy about the shirts!

Bought the brown one just now without question.

I feel ya on the lady shirt sizes but... that is why I love layering, a tank on underneath should be fine if it does what think geeks woman sizes do and become way too short. Though judging from measurements I should be good.

I think I'll need to do the same as what I did with the DB5 shirts and buy both...

Re: FANGAMER DESERT BUS SHIRTS OH MY GOODNESS
Moshi, that doesn't really work for me. It's not the length that's the problem, it's the (lack of) width. I wear the equivalent of a men's XL, but really need a scoop or v-neck instead of a crew neck so my "tracts of land" don't look like they're sitting at waist level.
Ah, well. Just bought one in each colour so we'll see how long they sit unworn on the pile of shirts to be modded. Someday...

I'm afraid I don't find this year's design particularly appealing... but I'll probably end up getting the brown one. I don't wear white, really.

I'm gonna get one of each. Maybe I should get more? I regret only owning one Runners shirt, after all...

Gonna have to agree with this. I'll still get it because I support da chillunz but I won't enjoy it as much as last year's shirt.

Re: FANGAMER DESERT BUS SHIRTS OH MY GOODNESS
"This is a preorder item which will not ship until Early-Mid January!"
Really? Way to plan ahead guys.
No thanks. If they can't be bothered to have them ready for DB, I can't really be bothered to buy one.
Not to mention, only two (pretty damn ugly) colour options, and a logo you can barely read?
Maybe we can get a company that actually cares to do the DB7 shirts.
This just screams of, "Shit, we promised to do t-shirts for that charity thing again, didn't we? Well I guess we better throw together some random scraps of shit no one ever buys."

Uh, WTF? You're badmouthing Fangamer?!
They're doing a preorder because they have no idea how many they're going to sell. Fangamer is a small business, and as such, they can't afford to make a huge run of shirts that no one's going to buy. (LoadingReadyRun's the same way... remember the WiiPlay shirts? That's why LRR does preorders now too) If they made a small order in advance, they'd run the risk of selling out, and then people would be upset and whine like you're doing right now. It's also not cheap to put in the order for the shirts, so making two runs would incur a lot more overhead costs (because they have to set up the manufacturing run for the shirts, there's a flat initial cost when you put in an order) which means less money for charity. This is not a last-minute "oh shit" decision. This is planned out.
Last year they did the same thing. The point is to buy the shirts during the run to support the run. You're not going to get your shirt during the run. That would be impossible and wouldn't make any sense.
If your opinion is the colors are ugly, fine. But apparently you think a bunch of the clothes I own are ugly because I wear brown/cream shirts on occasion, whatever, that's your opinion.
The point of the logo is that it's subtle. Fangamer shirts are always elegant designs first, and readable messages second. If you want a shirt that has "DESERT BUS FOR HOPE" scrawled across it in Arial, you can do that with a sharpie.
Fangamer is giving all of the proceeds for the sale of these shirts to Desert Bus. They are making exactly $0 for all the work that they do on this. If you've never fulfilled a ton of orders, you don't know how much work packing and shipping a ton of stuff can be, so you don't know that they're actually giving a lot to the drive for this.
If you've ever bought something from them, you know how quality their shirts are (they're not cheap, shitty, uncomfortable shirts, they're actually made from good cotton, and the designs are burned on, not inked, so they don't fade when you wash them), and how much care they put into their stuff (they send you buttons and little extras in the package, the packaging is always supremely well designed, etc).
I will not stand for you badmouthing them. I've met all the people who run the company, they're all supremely awesome people who work super hard to build a business from the ground up, and you're being an asshole even though they're giving a TON OF MONEY TO CHARITY.
GTFO.

Re: FANGAMER DESERT BUS SHIRTS OH MY GOODNESS
If they care about the charity, maybe they should put a little effort in. They did last year; this year, not so much.
I'm sure everything you're saying is true, but that doesn't explain why this year's shirts are so sub-par compared to last year.

I actually really like these designs! I'm going to get the brown because light shirts just get dirty. ):
