International Baccalaureate
Basically a program where schools around the whole world have standardized tests and assignments and stuff. It's harder than the normal curriculum and is a big thing with private schools now. And their exams are in may, not june, so school ends earlier for IB schools than for anyone else.

Ib stands for In vitro Brutalization

No, sweetie. I'm in the USA, we get out in June. Everyone gets out in June unless your school burns down or something. Can't be that.

We go from start of September to Mid-June. We were gonna go till June 16th I think, but then we had about 5 or 6 days off due to Snow/Harsh weather conditions..but I think we made those up. So we should be getting out mid-June sometime.
Only about 9 months left!

2 problems with that
1. my middle school caught fire and we got 1/2 day of school off, and
2. school starts and ends differently from where you are in the country. Im in NY, so i start sept 3 and end june 16. My Floridian cousin starts school august and ends may.its so schools don't pay for air conditioning any longer than they have to

Ah, now I remember, I was thinking of the Wikipedia article on the AP program. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Placement_Program
The exams are administered most frequently in the first two weeks of May. This is close to the end of the school year in southern states.

Florida schools generally start in August and end in May. My IB exams are in May, so my last day of school is the last Friday in April.
Two weeks of exams, and then I'm free. FREE!
I can't think of a signature.

Hmm...mine started in August ended in June...usually...depended on the year and what the weather had been the previous year.

Wait you got 5 days off for harsh weather?
We had the first snow day since 1989 this year, everyone showed up to school despite the blizzard and school wasn't cancelled till mid day.
By that time everyone was stuck in the parking lot, buses were stuck in the street it was a total gong show. It took me hours to get home, around three, and was a really fun time for all. We did get the next day off though so that was cool.

Must have been bad to have a snow day in Saskatoon. Blizzards are par for the course in winter on the Prairies. We had a snow day this year since the Buses were not running as they cleared the streets (200 mm over 24h).
We are all made of star dust. However we are also made of nuclear waste.

Even though I still have another year, I am officially done with senior year and getting ready to go home where I will get a car, license, and job as well as taking the GRE and beginning to aplly to Grad Schools for Fall 2008 enrollment.
Aside from that, I also want to congratulate all those who are graduating this season (spring 2007), be it High School, Secondary school, University, Junior college, or Chemistry set production facility (as in graduated cylinders? get it?).
EDIT: Also, the Rathskellar in State College apparently is one of the worst places to get into, due to the snobbery of the bouncers and bartenders. There are better places to go, such as Cafe 210, Bill Pickle's Tap Room, and The Phyrst.
