Ok, so I've got my idea, and the materials. Now I just need to make it.

I've got an idea, but the ideal present involves a trip to London, so my gift might be late in despatching...

Re: The Third Annual LRR Forum Secret Santa! (CLOSED)
So... I received something in the mail from a name I don't immediately recognize, not sure if it's from my Santa. Also all it said was "Happy birthday" in the box (my b-day is this week) so now I'm all sorts of confused.
The only connection I could think of since it's a name I don't recognize was this gift exchange, but the happy birthday threw me for a loop. So I guess if you're my Santa and sent it, then... thanks! If not, then disregard this post.

I'm working very hard of my gift, and I really hope it will be ready on time. Please bear with me, santee!

I've received the items I ordered for my santee today (I do most of my shopping online). I'll be mailing it out tomorrow.
All problems can be solved by trebuchets and/or fire.

Re: The Third Annual LRR Forum Secret Santa! (CLOSED)
Okay... so here's what I got in the box:
Bratz wrapping paper, eh? Is Santa trying to tell me something?
First I got:
That's interesting cause we don't have this one in Canada. Curious how it tastes.
Next:
It's got a colouring book, crayons, and stickers in it... oddly I will actually get use out of this...
Now things get funny:
I don't care what kind of movie it is. It has Gary Oldman... playing a dwarf. *drops the mic*
I should have recorded the 10 minute uncontrollable giggle fit that I had after opening:
And finally:
Giggle fit continues. Love how the box is talking TO the dog. While I don't have a dog I am looking forward to trying this thing on my mom's dog.
Although...
Butthead has been complaining about the cold at night.
Now I'm not sure who my Secret Santa was cause they didn't put their forum name anywhere but thank you so much for making my day!
I hope everyone's is as fun as mine.

Yeah, even if I get mine before Christmas (and hey; don't worry about being late. Just as long as I get it. RED CHARLIE) I'll be waiting until the Big C-Man's big day.

I agree. Also, I did not have the paper to individually wrap the gifts within my parcel, so unless santee leaves the whole package alone, they would see the gifts.

You know what is funny, the pm I sent him still remains unread. He super disappeared on us. Oh well.
YAY AERIC!! That is awesome that you already got your gift! I'm so pumped to see what else you guys get!

I know that feel, Jester. Machalllewis still hasn't sent off his gift for me from Secret Santa Year One, let alone read my nicely worded PM on the subject.
... if I didn't know any better I'd think that he was avoiding me...
Eh, either way this is the third year we've done this, so I for one an optimistic that everything will go off without a hitch.

Spam!
I sent out my santee's gift today. I got it insured too, so if it doesn't get there I can get my money back and get my santee something digital.
To my anonymous santee, the box has the LRR logo and my username on it. The gift is not wrapped inside the box. So if you want to wait till Christmas to unwrap it, keep it in the delivery box.

Re: The Third Annual LRR Forum Secret Santa! (CLOSED)
So, I am a little worried, because I still have no idea what to get my Santee. I guess I'm overthinking it, because I want it to be special and something they could use and enjoy, but I want it to be appropriate for them and not to suck.

That's one of the main reasons I'm going digital honestly. I'll get them something they'll hopefully be able to get some joy from. If I'm wrong, then... well, I'll feel stupid.

YES - Draw the LRR logo somewhere on the exterior of the packaging so the recipient knows what it is.
YES - Post in the thread once you have received said package, to put your Santa's mind at ease.
Thanks, Jim! Yes! I like these ideas!

I think I've found a decent fall-back if I can't find what I'm looking for in Penrith on the weekend. Either way, mine's going out on Monday.
