Desert Bus 6 Torrent?

Postby Sieg Reyu » 23 Nov 2012, 22:43

Last year we got a torrent of the complete event, and it was super awesome. Will this be happening again this year? If so, will it still be just as far off, and what definition will it be? Will it be in the highest of Denglers or will it be smaller for ease of downloading?

From what I have heard there will be a torrent. Kroze said something about a week away but that might be in Blizzard time.

Yes, from what I can gather there is one in the works but there's been no ETA on it yet. In the meantime you can still catch the highlights on youtube or watch the entire thing again over on twitch TV. There is also a google doc with an outline of what happened and when floating about too.

We recorded the whole thing, and Fugi is hanging the torrent, like last time.

Since he wasn't able to join us, Kroze is out of the loop on this one. Fugi's your man this time.

The connection between "should" and "actually happening" for various things, such as sleeping at certain times, is completely severed by Desert Bus and requires a manual reconnection. :D

Keep in mind folks that if Fugi is handling it then he'll likely wanna actually...y'know...catch up on sleep XD I'm sure we'll be informed once it's up and available.

That was last year's. Last year's wasn't in high definition. Also this year they bussed for longer.

I'm sure it'll be more.

Right now the f4v files are ~140 GB. If it works, the torrent will just be those files renamed to mp4 and split up to not be (up to) 36GB each.

ETA is December 2nd.

It's really tempting to go back and watch the Desert Bus I missed. I think a lot of fun stuff happened after midnight PST, which is when I went to sleep most nights. But do I have another week to spend watching Desert Bus? Hmm...

That is what i have been doing, watching a little each day on the twitch channel, i think i have 12-13 hours left, and besides getting to watch the things you missed while you were sleeping, at work/school it also helped so i didn't have to go cold turkey and go from 1X Hours of desertbus a day to none

Has this been completed and put up somewhere already and I'm just not in the know? Or has the topic merely fizzled?

I assume Fugi's still working on it. He's in college so this is exam time so he's probably busy right now, but I doubt it'll fizzle; it'll happen eventually.
