Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
I never understood captain planet, the villains were all corporate people who produced nothing but hazardous materials with the end result of polluting the environment. How did they stay in business they didnt even try to sell their toxic sludge they just threw it away!
(also I spelled that "Vilains" and firefox could tell me it was wrong but not how to spell it correctly)

Yeah, the writers just didn't care.
"Why are they evil?"
"Because they pollute the environment."
"Why do they pollute the environment?"
"Because EVIL."

Sabatons
The French for shoe, as I'm sure you know, is "sabot". So it follows that a "sabaton" is armor for the foot... Right?

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
I don't mean to be a bother, but is there any news on what's going to happen with more GPLP? I know they aren't sure if they're going to do more Cursed Crusade since no Brad. I'm just curious if they've said anything about this.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
I thought they filmed it all at once and it was just editing it that was the issue.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
They recorded as much as they've put it at once, but if I'm not mistaken the latest episode was the last one they recorded while Brad was there. They didn't actually get through the whole game (which is apparently pretty long).
Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
To clarify, yes, Kapol is right.
When Brad was here we figured we'd rip through the whole game, but only got through a little over halfway. And then he was lost to school in England for an indiscriminate amount of time.
The 12 episodes online are all we recorded in the first session...

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
It's back!? And Brad is here too!?! Hooray!!!!
Edit: Wow, that episode felt short, but it was like ten minutes longer than all the others. Also, was it just me, or were the weapons breaking a hell of a lot faster this episode?

I am curious. How goes the recording? Have you reached the end of the game?

Watched the first 12 episodes and still can't believe how shitty this game is. Now that I have some free time I'll watch the next two episodes. You guys should all be given medals for suffering through this game.

Wow this game is just laughable, are you guys sure you got a complete game and not some unfinished bata that got released some how?
I may not be funny or witty, but that does not make me less strange.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
All I can say is that we appreciate all the horror you put yourself through. I'm just glad Brad was there for the rest of it. He deserves that treatment since he can tell us interesting facts.
A couple of my favorite parts so far are the bit about learning from Dante's Inferno (It's a teaching tool! Let your pre-schoolers play it to learn about... things!), the ex and recommunications, and Brad is totally bigger then a bread box. I'm learning!

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
Wow. I'm impressed, that's twice you had to restart the level, on the same level. I mean, in X-Men, you only had to restart once when the game crashed on you.
The apparent lack of checkpoints seems a significant flaw to the game. Well, okay, one of many flaws, actually. It didn't seem TOO bad way back at the beginning, really. Not too good, either, but it just seemed to seriously go straight to suck the further you went in. And I know Paul commented on how surprisingly deep the combat is, but to me, it just looks a lot like a ton of random clanging, then eventually blood comes out and you do a finishing move.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
While it's a long shot, could the glitches be because you used a different disk? I remember seeing the call on twitter to see if anyone had it because you guys couldn't find yours. I'm just wondering if that could possibly be why. It seems odd for a game to just suddenly be so buggy.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
Just watched it, WOW... 2 mission restarts due to the game glitching out in less than 20 minutes is impressive! I knew it was a bad game but seriously did they even bug test this game?
I agree about the need for checkpoints in this game. Some of the missions really seem to drag themselves out and having to restart every time it glitches is annoying!

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
I think the game is upset on you guys abandoning it. Next time you abandon a game for a few months, come back with chocolate and flowers
Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
How many episodes would you say are left?
@Kapol: That seems unlikely. Game disks should all have the same data on them. Unless the disc is damaged, I doubt that's the problem, and I'd think a damaged disk would cause other errors, not getting stuck in objects.

I meant damage to the disk, not information errors. It's unlikely. But at the same time it seems really strange to me that the game would be fine (if awful) before and then suddenly become so broken that it glitches twice in the same level. That just seems really weird to me.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
Maybe during development what little bug testing there was stopped the farther into the game they got. If this is the case by the end of the game I expect Graham to fall through the floor and end up in the sky some how with a mission complete pop up.
Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
Maybe it's just the developers making some clever meta-joke with cursed crusade itself being a cursed crusade. Either that or laziness.
Glad to see these back.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
It wasn't perfect before either, but it seems worse now. Items seem to phase through floors more often too. I dunno. It just seemed like a big sudden change.
But I forgot to mention one thing, and I'm not sure if anyone else has yet. The new audio setup is amazing. Very good work.

Yes, the new audio set is much better.

Oh and you can just call me Dave.
