I've suspected for a while that bard was my Santa.

Again, no hard feelings - I mean it. I know your situation has been complex lately, and I know you made the effort. All I ask is you tell me what you were gonna give me because dammit I'm curious! :P

Volafortis says he sent you your gift in December, ElominSha.
Lone Bard says he still HAS your gift to send, Aubergine.

So we have a couple options..

1.) I can get you both a gift with the donated money
or
2.) You guys can choose to wait for a gift that may or may not arrive.

Unfortunately , this is the danger of not sending a trackable package. I had a gift I sent to a friend this December also disappear with USPS non trackable package. I urge participants next year to use a tracked package system, however I know it can be cost effective to do otherwise. I send standard international through UPS with a tracking number and it usually costs me under 15 if I can fit it in a medium envelope.

I'm okay if it doesn't turn up so I'll go with Option 2.

Would it be possible to wait for an update from bard before making a decision? If he can't send it option 1 would be nice, but if he can still send it sometime in the near future then I'd be okay with option 2.

It's an electronic firefly in a jar. :)

You tap the lid to get it's attention, and then tap it again one to four times to get it do do different things. It's pretty cool. Thank you, Pika!

Of course :)

Jester, I love those things! They sell butterfly ones down here... I've never seen firefly ones. Super cool. With the butterfly ones, I run through the store tapping all of them at once then proceed to squeal.

It also came with little hot dog so the magnet made more sense. And he's painted like Canadaman because that's the only time I've met Lord Hosk (or most anyone) face to face.

Fake Cat poop, candy hot dogs, the hot dog magnet, and a Canadaman painted with 98% love, 1% time and 0% skill and 1% childs paint set that someone gave my daughter for her first birthday two and a half years before I painted.

Seriously who gives a one year old a acrylic paint set?

ETA: oh and a bump in the night in a custom made prototype LRR sleeve. That sleeve can only go up in value, more to follow :)

Hey, so I doubt bard is going to get back to us any time soon, and I've been thinking.

I don't really need a gift. I think it'd be better to take at least "my share" of the backup money and give it to charity instead, as per what Rocket said in the first post.

Does anyone have any good charities they'd like to suggest?

childsplay charity is not bad I think they give club soda's and virtual boys to kids that are too happy.

The money in the pot will go to Childs Play as we agreed upon at the beginning, unless you have a specific charity you want to support with your portion!

I actually pm'd Lone Bard again last night but the msg isn't being checked. I think it's safe to say that he's not going to be around the forums in time for us to make this decision, and I don't want to make you wait until spring for your Christmas gift. I followed the Facebook link he provided in his profile info, thinking I would msg him on there just go get an answer from him - because if he's being honest, I don't want the money he spent on your gift to go to waste. But I decided against it seeing that he had recently been online I figured he would come to the forums eventually. If anyone talks to him outside of the forums and could send him a message - just letting him know we are waiting on him to figure out what to do with the donated money - that would be awesome.
