So who knew that Sly 4 came out today? I had no idea, and I was looking forward to it.

And I'd say before last year...the last game to make me cry was...yeah, Planetfall back in the 80's.

It is really good, but no, not to the point of being worth the cost of the console itself.
I dunno, maybe get a friend to let you try it? :J

ANGER.
Seriously. I love the Sly series, played the original three countless times, but we have to wait till the end of March to get it here in Europe. I'm not happy.

I don't have any IRL local friends that are nerds anymore.
I did briefly own a PS3 for a few days a couple years ago before I sold it.

@Metcarfre: Try Thomas Was Alone. 10 bucks for PC. I've not cried, but I'm utterly charmed by it.

What DO you have then?
Logic, I've been a big fan too. But I'm going to wait till I rebeat Sly 2 and 3. I have the trilogy and was giving it some time after getting Platnium on 1. Plus I just don't like playing on PS3. :/

Ugh, why do games never list actual system requirements anymore?
Anyways, I'm rockin' 10.4.11 (last update; 2009) so I have no idea if that would work or not.
I do have a 360. It's foolish though since I'm working through DXHR and will probably get a 'shoot people in the face' game after that.

The answer is get The Walking Dead for Xbox 360. I dunno what we're answering, but it's the answer.
That reminds me, while there's no game that made me cry, The Walking Dead and Mass Effect 3 both made me tear up a bit. For ME3, it was mostly the part where Thane died and Kap-Shep recited the prayer with his son, only to find out the prayer was for Kap-Shep.
For Shoot-em-in the face games, I'm a fan of Crysis 2 myself. Or zee Fallout games.

Ahhhh....
Jack-Shepard sounds less impressive. Unless I actually named him Jack.

Speaking of Thomas Was Alone, I finished it!
I liked it, but I'm not raving about it. It has a lovely story, very well written characters, fantastic style. But I never felt it reach much. It seemed like an exercise in charm and heart-warming than a real go for broke.

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread
I finished Thomas Was Alone quite a while ago and I had a lot of fun with it. I almost cried near the end. I finished antichamber yesterday and all I can say is "Ow, right in the Euclids." Lately, I've been playing my new, shiny, purple 3DS. Very much enjoying Virtue's Last Reward and Kingdom Hearts 3D on it.
