What the? That ending? I'm so confused right now lol I know you guys were so glad to finish it and I'm so glad it's over! This game was a abomination!
Glad Kathleen got a chance to see just how bad it was, cause I'm sure she had heard the tales of the Cursed Crusade and might not have believed them.

The reason the English cast isn't listed in the credits is because they likely weren't paying union rates for the voice over production, since Atlus never does and they were likely footing the bill for all the English version production. Any actors who are member of a union aren't allowed to take jobs that don't pay union rates, so they can't be credited for the work.

Only voices I could place were Travis Willingham as Denz, Jamieson Price as Denz' father, and Troy Baker was in there somewhere as one of the villain dudes I think.

It ended the only way it could have ended. Badly.

The game didn't so much end as it just stopped.

Statler: Well, there was one thing I liked about it.
Waldorf: What was that?
Statler: That it's over!
Both: hahahahaha!

But in all seriousness,

>O_O

I salute your grave commitment to bring this game to an end...

Now go bury that fucker in a ditch somewhere!

The problem with burying it in a ditch is that someone might find it again.

OMG that was bad. I was hoping for at least some closure on the story stuff. What the hell were they thinking?

I don't know if the best part of this episode was Kathleen's supreme disapointment or hearing Matt's reaction in the background

Wow, I just watched the last two episodes. That was certainly a slog. I feel like I should send Graham a trophy, or at least some cookies, in celebration of his momentousness achievement of managing to stay sane throughout the entire game.

FUN FACT: the most recent newspost of 'Chill-o-tunne' on their own website, is October 11, 2012: "Kylotonn recruits for its studio in China !"

Yeah...really sounds like they're turning over a new leaf from all this 'shovelware' crap that they 'last-minute-rush' to ship unfinished, and are really taking the finished quality of their projects seriously.

If our saintly hosts/players feel they should bury the TWO copies of the game they had to get to complete this playthrough, I suggest they do so in the empty heads of the execs responsible for okaying this incomplete pile of excrement! :P

...and while we're on the subject of rushed, mishandled, unfinished and utterly irredeemable wastes-of-time-and-money masquerading as 'games', maybe G&P should see about trying out ALIENS: Colonial Marines for their next endeavour? ;)

I stopped watching at about episode 15 because the game was interminable, then watched episode 24. I'm so, so sorry. Please don't feel obligated to finish the next pile of crap for our benefit.

That said, quite a few laughs were had.

Though I will say, hearing Matt in the background and his incredulous reactions to what's going on did a lot to the proceedings.

Just... Just... Just... No. Just no. You guys shouldn't have done that. There's a point where your miserableness is just pushing through what little remains of hope and goodness, and I think this game reached that point and beyond. I enjoyed the last episode though. Kathleen helped bring something back to it.

I can't wait to see more LPs, but please don't do anything that awful again. For the sake of all of us (except the ones who are dead).

Of course now you have to beat it in nightmare mode anyways.

That said, the next LP needs to have Kathleen in it, this last episode was hilarious.

well, i was entertained by your suffering.

however, I dad rather object to the moralising of the last episode, mostly from Kathleen, and the more general assumption that the crusaders were just terrible, bloodthirsty and materialistic people. Bar a few of the crusade leaders, none of the crusaders went on crusade for money. Actually most of them sold or mortgaged land and put themselves and their families massively in debt to fund a crusade. Even Louis VII of France got hugely in debt to the Templars while in crusade. The crusades were never an economic venture because not only were they never profitable (but in fact constituted a huge expenditure of resources) but the whole concept of doing things for purely economic reasons just doesn't make much sense in medieval terms.

The most interesting thing about the crusades is that they happened because the crusades genuinely believed that what they were doing was right, even virtuous. They actually believed that going to the east to liberate or protect the holy land was god's will, and doing so would constitute an act of penance.

It's completely unhelpful and kind of silly to sit around in the twenty-first century and talk about how awful and evil the crusaders were, and make baseless and stereotyped assumptions about their motives and beliefs. I thought the whole point of having brad there in the first place was to bring a bit of historical depth and interest to the whole thing.

Anyway, rant over. Well done for actually getting through that appalling mess of a video game. It was entertaining to watch you suffer... although, next time, maybe pick a shorter terrible game, for your own sanity!

Yeah, this GPLP...er, GBPLP-WKATF, should have just finished around episode 22 or so; the frustration level just exceeded the entertainment value; I applaud your commitment to completion and finishing the game off, but...I really felt sorry for you in your torment, Graham! :P

I would see no problem in returning to the 'play for as long as we can stand it/have time for it' idea for GPLP that was with Venetica; you might even want to 'cheat' and check out walkthroughs of the game in advance and if none of them ever finish the game not bother to do likewise. ;)

Actually, this whole horrible slog has made me realize something about 'bad' game development: if a game is getting progressively shittier and shoddier, it will not improve at the end because the developers are unimaginative and have been developing their project in a *linear* manner; as their resources (and spirit) dwindle, so to does the story or variety in level design, etc.

I suppose we could have Story Time Paul give that as an epilogue to the Let' Play! ;)

or maybe

"So what have we learned, kids? Yes, that's right - Kylotonn Games is bad and should feel bad."

I can't believe it "ended" like that! The "final boss" is a really annoying room full of repeatedly spawning enemies and a generic "burn this thing" event? Hell the room with the chandeliers was more entertaining!

I am outraged at this game by proxy!

I am also somewhat amused that Esteban's nickname eventually fixed at "Taco Salad" for the last few episodes.

Also... as the game ended Boniface just... has the power to summon the legions of hell? And... there's nothing to stop him? I can't decided if this reeks more of "ill advised sequel hook" or "ran out of time/money and said cut" more
