Don't be confused by the fact that I'm doing the forum post. All the credit and/or blame for editing this week's podcast goes, as always, to James.

At least it's here. Not moments after I ask where it is.

^_^ Woot first post.

Yay for Ash in podcast! And good luck to Bill getting the WoW gear back. Having WoW myself I know how frustrating it is to lose all that high end stuff in one fell swoop. My bro accidentally deleted his lvl 60 Warlock (capped at the time) with full tier 0.5 set and lots of other stuff. Luckily we got it all back.

Wow. that hurts a little bit.

Also you will notice there is no funny gag clip at the end of this weeks video. I will simply say the only thing i could come up with this week was in my opinion not very funny so instead of giving you a subpar joke at the end hopefully someone will say something i can use next week and it will be glorious.

Code: Select all

The meteor repellant/squeeky foam pint of beer.

Because if it works against evil Nintendo lawyers then it is bound to work on Gamera.

edit: For accuracy. I forgot Lawyerproof charm.

Edited again for visibilty?

How do you "accidentally" delete your character?

You have to actually type the word delete!

JER!!! Why do you have Pearl? Ewwwwwww. Dear God, Diamond is so much more awesome (You get Scyther for petesake. That should be reason enough.)

Oh, and I have a pretty funny idea for the challenge. I love that this is going to show who the extremely geeky LRR fans really are, cause you know that someone's going to pull the most obscure item out of their asses and blow us all away.

Me and my bro share one account, and I went to a friends house and wanted to play WoW. When he logged on it kicked me off. So I logged back on and kicked him off. We did this a few times, then I created a junk character with the name "stayoff". He then logged back in and made one that said "letmeplay". This went back and forth a few times till I gave up and played on my friends account. When my bro went to delete all the junk characters, the selector went up to his character instead of the next junk one up the list, and without realising it he deleted his main.

he's my response to the challange

Code: Select all

If a Gamera were to attack Victoria, BC, the LRR crew could use 64K's arsenal of NES and SNES Light Gun Weaponry to fend off the interloping behemoth. The Light Guns would act as a super effective defense because a gamera is obviously from space, and something from space cannot be killed by bullets, but it can be killed by infrared radiation from the Light guns. In space infrared radiation is rare, unless you are very close to a star, so the gamera lacks the evolutionary capabilities to survive the high concentration of the infrared Radiation.

Assuming Gamera came to attack LRR in video, the answer is simple.

The pot lid.

Throwing it at the right angle, were it to collide with a spinning turtle monster, assuming the pot lid AND Gamera were going clockwise, the impact would stop the spin on both, sending Gamera into a heavy vertical descent, onto his underbelly, probably landing on something sharp.

Like my wit. Oho.

About the NES and SNES light guns, neither of those emit infrared radiation. They work by having a light sensor on the inside (hence "light" gun), and when you pull the trigger, it sends a signal to the NES/SNES to blank the screen for one frame, then highlight the target with a white box in the next frame. Thus, if the sensor detects a sudden massive drop and increase in the amount of light it recieves, it will detect a hit. This is why you can sometimes cheat by pointing them at various types of lightbulbs.

If Gamera came to attack LRR in Victoria, they would use Schrodinger's fridge to destroy the evil space turtle.  It is know that Gamera is also a scholar, yet he does not understand quantum physics.  Therefore, putting Gamera into the fridge (or in front of the fridge) would cause it to dematerialize and become possible Gamera, not actual Gamera.

A little long, and it may be borrowed from another website, but so is the squeeky foam pint of beer.

If Gamera were to attack Victoria, British Columbia, LRR could lure it away by offering it every cheesy Japanese monster's favorite thing:  a ton of soiled panties.  I mean, like, two thousand pounds.

I too first thought of the Foam Beer Pint, although I didn't think about the Nintendo lawyer bit.

Then I thought of a few other things that could save the world too:

    * Paul (assuming that he really did save the universe in Mental Battle, he can easily do it again)
    * The Sega Dreamcast (High chance of failure though. What if the person who got Gamera's body was insane? Or worse, what if they were Morgan?)
    * Story Guy
    * Jangles and Jones
    * Linux (Turn him into a combination router and dedicated game server!)
    * The LRRCast (He'd laugh his ass off.)
    * Will He Blend?
    * Canada Man (He... uhh... knows how to make Poutine?)

At last, I had to choose my favorite of the bunch, and that which I think is perhaps the most potent force on the planet.

Code: Select all

- Uwe Boll -

With the power to make films so horrible as to be beyond human comprehension, his sheer mass of terrible cinema would overwhelm Gamera and utterly destroy it. Most likely through his latest work, "Excitebike: Extreme Challenge".

~Alja-Markir~

Edit!

Melendwyr wrote:If Gamera were to attack Victoria, British Columbia, LRR could lure it away by offering it every cheesy Japanese monster's favorite thing: a ton of soiled panties. I mean, like, two thousand pounds.

I must have missed the video that featured two thousand pounds of soiled panties. Link? *grins*
