The tweet in particular

Anyone else looking forward to this? I used to love watching this show with my dad and bros growing up and even today watching old episodes is magic.

Re: Return of Who's Line Is It Anyway.
Is Ms. Tyler going to be as annoying (read: not that much) as Carey was about blurring the line between host/judge and player/performer? And are they going to persist with that insipid 'get the joke?' lampshade of "...and the points are made-up"?
But yeah, this'll be good.

I enjoyed it when it originated in Britain. But when it went overseas I couldn't quite get into it.
Perhaps I am biased towards Paul Merton and Josie.

For me, it was the change from 'presenter' Clive to 'host' Drew. We lost Mike McShane but gained Wayne Brady. *shrug*

Sweet. I binged on Whose Line when I was bed ridden with illness for a month.

Will have to see how Tyler hosts it, but would definitely prefer a return to the British version. Preferably with Paul Merton.
Although saying that, Fast and Loose was pretty terrible when they did that last year.

Like most I enjoyed the UK version more but glad to see its coming back. Especially with Colin and Ryan on board.

Paul Merton has said in the Have I Got News For You 1990-2002 DVD that he came up with jokes that were funnier back in the earlier days than now.

This may well be excellent, it does worry me though, reboots don't always work.
This would be fantastic to see again though, definitely looking forward to it.

Re: Return of Who's Line Is It Anyway.
Well it's been rebooted once already, and while that wasn't as good as the original (IMO, but then it's really rare to do so), was popular and funny in its own right.
I think the biggest factor is already settled: Colin & Ryan are on board. Their synergy could carry the whole dang show!

Re: Return of Who's Line Is It Anyway.
it came back during the British event of '24 hr panel people' for Comic Relief where this one Comedia had to take part in panel shows for 24hrs.
However, 'people' got confused by Whose Line is it anyway as they weren't used to a panel show that wasn't "cleanly cut".
Which is a shame, because what made Whose Line is it Anyway was the roughness and organic nature of the show.
So I'm concerned it will either: be crap because it compromises. Or the GP don't "get it" and it's not popular.

I am very, very excited.
And I'm going to go against the trend and say I've always liked the American version better.

As a Brit, I should probably be ashamed that I find the American version to be funnier.
Well, I thought that it was a rare occasion of the American adaptation out-doing the original... and my god, it did well. I can't wait for more, although I'm slightly disappointed at the lack of Drew Carey. Still, the main 3 are back and that's all I care about.

Re: Return of Who's Line Is It Anyway.
I remember watching this years ago with my family. Alway loved the show back then, and I'm hoping they don't screw it up. The fact they have at least two of the major players makes me feel a lot better about the idea of a return though.
Also, I just realized that Colin Mochrie looks a lot like Bill Corbett from Rifftrax.

I'm excited! This is the best television news I've seen in ages, especially after Improvaganza didn't even get a second season.
And it may provide more fodder for in-jokes like this among my friends.
