Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep ---> Work ---> Sleep.
I've been working 60 hour weeks for the last 6, thankfully I now get Sundays off but I'm still working about 50-55 hours at or near minimum wage. My already crappy social life has died, meh, not such a big loss as it might have been. To top it off the new boss at my weekend job is a total arsehole, he has no idea what he's doing, has no respect for the people working for him and is far more concerned with looking good for the bosses that actually doing a good job. Nobodies doing any basic organisation and last night he was stupid enough to keep taking orders when we were swamped and there was a foot of snow on untreated roads outside.
I hope he doesn't last long.
Oh and I'll be glad when they stop selling creme eggs again. I know I shouldn't have them but when I see them I can't resist and I always feel shit afterwards.

Do Creme Eggs taste different in the New World or something?
Because in the UK it's like a shot of sugar, in a bite size.
It's the same, just larger - in an slightly uncomfortable size; too much to eat all at once, so you've got sticky, dripping fondant to deal with. (that's my only real complaint)
If yours are the size of the picture in that article, you're definitely getting the better deal. As you imply, perfect bite-size.

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
The ones here are like the size of a large chicken egg, like empath said, its just too big. If it was pure chocolate you could eat part of it and come back but as it is I end up throwing away half of them if someone gives me one, I would never buy one.

Actually the Economy around here is booming...
...and yet, affordable housing and decent employment are STILL difficult; funny that.
I'd err more on the side of "Fuck the Society", myself.

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
Had a person insulting me and just getting pissed at me for eating meat. I answer him in all his objections to the best of my abilities. I understand that something suffered and died. I traveled 45 mi from my hometown where the industry is slaughter and processing. D*** it I don't even know you. I started going after him because he is a vegetarian my buddy who is a vegan starts in too. He says dairy does not lead to slaughter. You live in the Midwest US. Cattle and Corn are what we do. How can you be a vegetarian and not know any of the facts in the middle of a state where we have a slogan of "Beef, It's whats for dinner". He was a self-righteous a-hole. He was getting torn apart by my friend who is admittedly better informed than I so he starts calling us ******* and ******. My friend and I go inside so I can eat my cheeseburger and my friend his whatever it is he eats (I don't even really want to know (I tried one of his non-dairy shakes once (I would not last long as a vegan))) in peace. Later he started shouting slurs at a girl who walked by. He spent half an hour sitting on the sidewalk just outside our yard before a policeman came by and asked him to move along.

I just want to make videos! Why is that so hard to do with Windows? Why did I let my guard down and download something I shouldn't've and got fucking spyware!? Why does VirtualDub keep freezing at 60 frames?! What the fuck?
Do I really need a new computer just to do videos? Come on already.

Rargh!!! Sometimes I really dislike my son. Don't get me wrong. I love him immensely, but when he screams/yells for 20 + minutes, I wish someone else could deal with him. Why can't little kids process logic yet?

I've met quite a few adults incapable of processing logic too.

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
There was an article in The Guardian the other day about a mum who genuinely disliked her child, basically because he was a little smartass who she found impossible to deal with cos he kept making snarky remarks back at her.
Not sure where I was going with that, just seemed mildly relevant

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
My uncle has had to come over from New Zealand to help my mum convince their handicapped brother he can not look after my grandma and she needs to go into a home. My mum and stepdad struggle with her and I can completely sympathise because I worked with old people with learning dis for a year. In the last year my grandmother has gotten progressively worse in her condition, she can't remember who I am, thinks my mum's house in Essex is her house from Merseyside, was diagnosed with Parkinson's a year ago and her dementia is getting worse and worse. She's the only grandparent I've got left and it breaks my heart to see her now and to remember what she used to be like.
But the biggest source of my guilt comes from the fact that I was the one who contacted social services to get the ball rolling on her moving into a home because my mum couldn't bring herself to and kept putting it off.
