We both know we'd be terrible together, but we've been dancing around this for three years. Should we just give in and give it a shot?

Probably terrible advice but do what feels right and what makes you happy.

Playing a game of Cards against humanity with my crush and 3 other people, I won almost every black card she pulled, and she won almost every black card I pulled. The game ended with her winning with like 22, me in second with 20, and the next closest was 5. At least I won't be going to hell alone.

Sweet Tesla's ghost I see it. It's missing a 2 (to be proper form), but still. I have no idea how you caught that.

Nicely punned good sir, really subtle.
I also played CaH with a bunch of friends recently, ton of fun, almost won.
Totally accurate, except for all the times I'm not.

Still single. Growing increasingly alone and distant from friends. When I was in Boston for PAX East, I saw a friend I hadn't seen in LONGER than I hadn't seen the LRR crew (possibly longer than since I've seen PAUL during DB5).

I always feel like I'm losing whatever chance I'll ever have as my friends dwindle into the background, because I just don't see myself ever trying to pick up a stranger.

A stranger is only a friend you haven't met yet.

Why do you know you would be terrible?

We're too similar. We're both really private people and without outside prompting, we don't really interact with other people, so we'd be content with never seeing each other.

Well, then we'll just have to constantly prompt you to see each other.

Seriously dude, go for it and make a proper effort. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work and you know for future reference. Best case scenario, you both get practice at interacting with people and manage to fit a good relationship in the package too.

That's no reason not to try right?
I'm together with my current girlfriend for 1.5 years next May. We are both really private and we see each other about twice a week, even though we live in the same street. It's pretty much perfect.

Just try it and see what happens. You are under no obligation to stay together for any longer than you feel is right. There really aren't any rules to relationships you know.

And as long as you communicate with eachother about what you want, and can compromise when you want different things, all will be well.
