This could have easily been a standard LRR Short. Excellent video!

Don't you know that the funnier a joke is, the less people will get it.

Also, I noticed Graham didn't dial a number on his phone to phone his parents. Does he have some sort of direct line to his parents, or are they just slack on continuity?

Yeah...they have this quickdial function on those newfangled cellular phones.

You press a couple buttons on top, and the phone dials itself!

Anyways...kickass video, but I miss the old style. That's three weeks in a row that I've been denied my news fix.

Is this due to a lack of Intro videos?

Because I'll get cracking on one.

If that were the case, you'd be a Linux user.

Actually, I'm familiar with the whole "He doesn't know how to fully utilize your dual-core processors, but I do" mindset. One guy at a local gaming shop has a lot more money than sense(that is, he's got boatloads of money, and very little sense), and he bought a $3000 PC. Yes, this is on a PC pricing scale, so you know it was bleeding-edge. Dual SLI video cards, full terabyte of hard drive space, two full gigabytes of RAM...(actually, to be fair, I haven't looked at the typical price for a top-of-the-line Mac recently, so they may be in competition again.)

He's not overcompensating with his flatscreen monitor like his boss is, though.

He uses it to play World of Warcraft.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here on a machine that's 3 years old, and can't run some of the newer games anymore, and I've often got to go read a book while I render a still image on it, let alone an animation.

Still image rendering can take a hella long time depending. Ask the guy who runs DigitalBlasphemy.

Oh yes, I'm aware. I'm also aware of what kind of optimizations you can use to speed up the process. For example, my avatar was rendered using a raydepth of only 1, and an AA level of 2x2, I believe.

Of course, it's also been downsampled from the original resolution, and only runs 15 FPS. The DivX version runs at 60 FPS, and is about twice as big in each direction.

I think the most frustrating right now is Terragen 2, which still hasn't got any optimizations to it, and actually renders micropolygons. Good for realism, bad for render times. I think the one scene I did in that took an our, alone.(spectacular scene, though. Terragen 2 is the win.)
Deemed too hazardous for human contact.

Holy Bullock that Computer is huge!!!
I was hoping that in the "Screw-up shots" at the end you wouldnt drop it, cause that would have sucked!

The part with ghram in bed with the Mac was just as disturbing as the guy who had sex with cars, but much funnier... Cause its graham!

Not necessarily. I'm pretty sure the cake is a reference, though.

3 PS3's?

Most likely. I laughed at that as well...even though it was pie, or so Graham said.

I am not familiar with this particular passtime. You must instruct me.

Doh! I should have known Paul would be doing the camera work. I made the jump too quickly when I heard Paul's voice in the out-takes bit.

But my other questions are still valid! Especially the crutches!

uber geek = KNOWING that was the 24" model before it was mentioned.

If you turned to the "dark side" (windows) you could play a game of Quake 3 (or whatever) AND render in the NLE at the same, let alone browse the web, run Gimp, blah blah blah... ;)

very nice video though.

EEW, it's another Risk-like game. I couldn't win Risk if I had loaded dice.

That was reallly great. It was strange; it was like a real LRR video, just slightly lower quality ;).
Great fun!
I, too, noticed the reflection and went back to watch it a few times just to make sure. It bothered me :(
