Wow that booster of chronicles was bad! One card you forgot from GTC is the consuming abberation, if you think the wight is good, the abberation just checks for cards + it grinds it can very easily be a one shot win!

Re: TTC - Gatecrash Commander
I think Mike Gills is a merfolk because his last name is Gills implying that at some point in his family's lineage they were able to breathe underwater. He is most likely some lost prince of Atlantis. Has anyone tried hypnotizing him and extracting the location of the sunken city from his subconscious genome?
Also the card you were trying to think of and what everyone was yelling at the screen is Counterbalance, not Counterflux. The problem with counterspell names is that they're all very similar which creates ambiguity.

Has anyone done any remixes of Kathleen's a-capella songs? Or for that matter, turned them into ringtones?
I'm picturing some DJ at a club autotuning her to hell and back until she sounds like SHODAN and Glados preforming a duet.

One nice thing about the Sylvan Primordial is that, like the Misty Rainforest, Bant Panorama, Jund Panorama, or anything with Forestcycling, they can search for the shock-lands and other non-standard lands that have the basic Forest type. Your "Forest" could be a Stomping Ground, a Sapseep Forest, a Murmuring Bosk, or even a Dryad Arbor.

I tap my Bump in the Night and my Animate Wall and then concede. Because really, once you start tapping sorceries and auras, it's probably over anyway.

Re: TTC - Gatecrash Commander
Great TapTap Concede today! I love listening to this podcast the morning it comes out with my wife and cup of coffee. A pleasure to hear you guys talk about casual, enjoyable Magic.
Yay, Chronicles! I actually LIKED this set and will defend it to the end. Fun to watch you open up a pack.
Request: This is now the SECOND episode where we get to hear references to Graham's treefolk deck, so my curiosity is piqued. Can we see the deck, either posted on the forums or detailed in a a future podcast? I would love to know what you've got in there.
Which brings me to...
Suggestion: How about a EDH/Commander Deck Tech episode where someone such as Graham (or special guests Alex and Jer ) dissect their EDH deck and go over what's in it and why? It would be interesting to hear you guys chat about the strategy behind card choices, how they've played out, etc. The other memebers of the podcast can chirp in their opinions on the various cards and the overall effectiveness (and fun) of the deck.
Finally, a question: In last week's episode you talked about how EDH/Commander shouldn't be about having an overpowering mega-win deck, but rather strive for pleasure and enjoyability of play. How do you find this balance? What should a player focus on in order to build a EDH deck that doesn't suck, but still isn't overpowered or unfun to play against?
Keep up the great work.

Hey everyone! I'd totally like to agree with the previous post regarding another great TTC, and also to mirror the curiosity in Graham's (and the other members as well!) EDH decks. I'd love to see either a list, or time permitting with your schedules some sort of deck tech (in video or text) about how they came together. Keep up the great work!

Just tried to think of cards I'm amused by... guess they should at least be permanents that tap.

Re: TTC - Gatecrash Commander
Well, an aura CAN be tapped somehow, as it's a permanent. There are cards like Captain of the Mists that will allow you to tap permanents indiscriminately. I don't think that has an effect on it, though. Now, instants and sorceries... Is there any way to MAKE them permanents somehow? I know cards that make regular artifacts into equipment and such...
Any way to tap something in the graveyard or something exiled?

Re: TTC - Gatecrash Commander
I can't say for sure, but I'll note 'tap target card' has no hits in Gatherer. I can't imagine that there'd be any way then to target a sorcery for tapping since, geeze, it's not a scenario likely to be planned for.

To be fair, you thought about Animate Wall, which remained, offensively, a rare through 6th edition. Animate Wall is SO CASUAL! If anything, Bump in the Night is too good to be on TTC.

Yay! a new TTC! Life returns to the wasteland! I'd love to see Jer and Alex on TTC, because they are so funny in your videos. I don't think Alex will ever live down "Bros Clubbing Bros". Nor would we want him to, because that was f'ing funny...

If I still had all my card I'd make a commander deck with verdant force. He makes a 1/1 saporling token on EACH upkeep. Soooo many saporlings.

I'd be lying if i said I haven't had a whispersilk cloak and a darksteel plate on one and had people just scoop to it it almost stupidly broken especially if you have a cycling or a self mill deck like your one on the table and there are so many ways to make it unblockable, the cloak and rogues passage just to name a few!
