Re: The Couch
This was hilarious. When he woke up in the armchair I busted out laughing. Love this video.

Re: The Couch
You've set the bar higher with this video guys, it may not be quite as outright hilarious as say, SPRING! but in terms of execution this is definitely among one of your most well-made videos so far.
Re: The Couch
Those candies not only transported James in space, but also in time all the way back to Summer!
Re: The Couch
I don't want to alarm anyone but, dare i say it, that was some brilliant acting by James. Brilliant video all round, loved it.

Re: The Couch
At the beginning I thought that James was an alcoholic due to the music (which sounds like it's the Seth McDebit music) but then I realised that some higher being was just dicking with him. I lost my shit at the mouthwash part.
Also is this the son of/distant cousin of/the same character as in Assorted Anonymous?

Lol, love the stinger. If I were in that position, I would just be like, "welp, this is where I live now. Time to make/spawn a house."

Re: The Couch
I was worried when the couch was locked up in storage and the key tossed that James was going to teleport in there and go crazy since he couldn't get out, but I was wrong.
Very well made episode.

Re: The Couch
That was great, gives me an idea for a new sobriety program where we follow you around and if you drink, we shoot you with a tranquilizer dart and then ship you to a couch in the middle of nowhere.
I have to admit, for a second I thought what was going to happen was he was going to wake up on the couch in the room he had just locked and thrown away the key for and spent the rest of the video trying to get out.
It seems like he should have built a furniture store there, sell the couch, take a drink, BOOM, new couch, then sell that one, repeat...PROFIT!

Re: The Couch
Like others have said, while not as laugh—out—loud funny as Spring, this is easily one of my favourite videos in the past few years. Possibly my favourite to come out since I started following LRR. Absolutely excellent.
Re: The Couch
What did we learn today children? That's right. Never use mouthwash.
Excellent concept and execution.

Re: The Couch
Heh... I absolutely loved it, though I'm a little surprised it still being this close to Canada day you didn't take a cheap little shot in the stinger and have James drink a Bud and have nothing happen.

Re: The Couch
The bit when he woke up in the chair was hysterical, spectacular video! Did anyone see you carrying the couch out into the middle of a field, and if so what was their reaction?
Re: The Couch
They drove veerrrrrrry slowly. Not surprising considering the uptight, posh neighbourhood. They did not, it seems, call the cops like we'd feared.Tuple wrote:The bit when he woke up in the chair was hysterical, spectacular video! or they did and the cops didn't care.

Amen to that. You've taken comedy to new level with this. Keep it up guys
Re: The Couch
Funny and Kafkaesque at the same time, who would have thought it was even possible. At first I was like "Why doesn't he get someone to record or at least watch how this happens?" But then I laid back and let the nightmare logic wash over me and laughed and laughed.
