I don't see why not honestly. What can Wizards do about it?

I assume so. I can't imagine the restriction is an actual law, as much as it is a condition of the contract WotC has with the retailer.

Doing it on a one time individual basis wouldn't really be bad. if you do it every time a new set comes out whoever is shipping them is becoming a distributor and would have to think about taxes and duties, which is the reason why WoTC has the restrictions in place.

It would be infrequent enough that it would not be a problem. Good to know though.

I don't have any in particular to recommend, but there's a whole bunch of casts at mtgcast.com

Opponent failed to show for game. Decided to draw my cards to see how it would've panned out- and how strange it turns out...

What I would need is not having the lands come after 10 other cards.

Also, I've had decent openings in draft just getting used to the format- Witchstalker, Mutavault, Scavenging Ooze and Xathrid Necromancer

so bought my box of modern masters and was chatting to store owner and mentioned i dont know if selling it or cracking it and she got really annoyed and said if i sell it i wont be allowed to enter any more store lotteries including the one for FTV 20

so their policy is with sets like this they dont sell them generally cos all the players with $$$$ will just come in and buy them all and sell them on ebay straight away and none of the actual store regulars get the cards. so they put all the regulars into a lottery for the option to buy one.

i can see where she is coming from but didn't appreciate the guilt trip

Telling the person you bought a thing from that you're going to turn around and sell it for more money seems like poor form to me. I don't have a real opinion on the actual reselling, however...

Also I like that lottery system, I think. Seems legit.

Seems very good to me.
I just have one suggestion and one question.
Question: Since only 2 of your creatures share a type (Exava and Huntmaster), are you planning to use "Human" as the type for Cavern of Souls? Or are you just going to play it with the intention of declaring whatever's in your hand at that time?
Suggestion: Have you perhaps thought of replacing your Elvish Mystics with Arbor Elves? That would help you generate extra red or black mana as well, by untapping your Overgrown Tombs and Stomping Grounds, if needed, rather than just extra green mana. I guess it just depends on how badly you need fixing instead of just ramp. If you need ramp, Elvish Mystics are probably better, as you could end up in a situation where you've got Arbor Elves out, but your lands aren't any of the 8 that you need to activate the Elves.

yeah Cavern of Souls was a late addition as i was getting killed by control decks during testing. the main reason for Cavern was in game 1 if i run into control i can use it to get whatever is in my hand in play. particularly mindsparker to make them not want to counter all my other stuff. also makes sure i get sire of insanity out in game 2
i did have 3 kessig wolf runs in there originally.

i had not considered the arbor elfs, i will give them a try and see if i get better results .

thanks dude

Yeah, or you could try 2 of each to see if the amount of ramp and fixing is right. I just hope you don't get into the "Arbor Elves are out but I have no forests to untap" situation.
Also, I just thought that the Arbor Elves could help you get around the 2-life cost of the shock-lands, if you need mana that turn. Play them down tapped and then untap them with the Elves the same turn, so you can use them.

Graham can draft on an airplane, Kenji can stream from his hotel in Vegas and in Calgary.

I cant keep a strong enough connection to play a standard game in the lobby of the hotel :(

Put together a new mono-white standard deck that's September Rotation compatible.

The Angel Engine
Frankly I knew the minute I saw Angelic Accord that I'd have to build a deck around it.

I designed it on a budget to spend less than 30 dollars in new cards on it including shipping, so I'm pretty happy with what I put together. Obviously it would benefit from some specific cards *cougharchangelofthunecough* but those will have to wait for possible trades or draft scores.

Might run a few Innistrad cards in it before rotation but the core will work post.

I'm really hoping Theros has a mono-white sweeper that only hits creatures as that's exactly what this deck wants, but sadly all I have available with RTR block and M14 is Planar Cleansing which doesn't really function.

Honestly, Ajani's Chosen doesn't deserve to be a 4-of. You have a decent number of enchantments, but I don't think enough to make him a card you HAVE to have. I don't think you have enough lifegain items to really get the Angelic Accord online. The only thing that will normally get it up and running is Trading Post... and that's it. Angelic Skrimisher might be able to help with that and keep you on budget, but she's a high drop and you don't have a lot of lower-cost items. Alive//Well could be another option as long as you have 2 or more creatures. If you want to go decently into tokens, it might be worth throwing in Wake The Reflections as well.

I had a pair of Skirmishers in early playtest versions of it but I found they ended up sitting in my hand while I died most of the time. As for Alive//Well, I can't see running it as just Well. I considered a tokens based angle on the deck but in the end I felt like there wasn't enough to support that line of build in mono-white post rotation.

two of the Staff of the Sun Magus is actually a reliable way to get the engine running as well since Land+Spell or 2 spells will equal out to four life.

The Chosen have been working out pretty well so far. It's easy to underestimate the value of turning all my enchantment based removals into 2 for 1's and letting my Angelic Accords also develop my board a little when I get them down.

The problem is, you have to reliably get two staffs in hand, be able to play them, have at least one Angelic Accord, and then still have lands and/or cheap spells in order for the staffs to get that going. Normally, at least giving it some quick playtests, by that point I just had a trading post anyways.

That's why I said she's iffy. I do think she might be good as a one or two of for utility. I don't think she's great, but I think she's a decent option for this deck.

I think three Chosen is fine. I just feel that four is too many overall. That's just my opinion.

...and sorry. Shouldn't have opened my mouth without asking if you wanted feedback first.

I just played a sealed event,

Match one:

G1: I got 3 land out and won in 7 turns.
G2: I got 4 land out and won in 6 turns.

Match two
G1: I got 17 land out and lost in 28 turns
G2: I got 15 land out and lost in 27 turns with one land in hand.

I had my opponent below 5 life from around turn 10 in each game.

Match three

G1: I got 16 land out and lost in 31 turns
G2: I got 17 land out and lost in 29 turns I had my opponent to 3 on turn 20, I had three extorters on the board. I had a punish the enemy, an annihilating fire, a skull crack, and a boros charm in still in my deck I drew 9 strait land. When I lost I drew next card which I never do. Fire, Crack, punish, in that order.

Those were the worst games I have ever had.
