This comes right after me and a friend planned on splitting a fat pack. I think we know what we're gonna be doing with it...

I've always wanted to draft but this sounds even more fun as it's probably a little easier.

I so need to try this, especially since the Toys R Us near here has 9 diffrent sets of boosters (Scars of Mirrordon, M12, Dark Ascension, Avacyn Restored, M13, Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash, Dragon's Maze and possibly M14 now) so I can easily get that done.

Built a tower from my M14 fat pack and ran a couple quick solo playtests as all four players. From what I can tell, this will be very, very fun with actual people! Now if only I can get my group together long enough for a game...

After playing it with two people... I can safely say you need 3-5 for the format to be fun. Two people is just too few honestly. Like, my friend got mana-flooded while I got pretty mana-screwed. But I almost came back later, only to die because not having the right color of mana.

I don't think this would be better with more people. In fact, I think it'd be worse. But I think having multiple people and more targets means cycling the 'draft' pool more often and less chance of just being destroyed.

For more random fun, try boosters from 9 different expansions. :D

I think that the obvious strategy here is Mill.
