Good news here. Sean and I are getting married!

We're having a big ceremony in October 2014 but we'll be dealing with the paperwork (as well as a smaller ceremony) sooner than that as it will help with the immigration process to have the paperwork out of the way.

I'm excited.

Hi, guys! Just popped in to gush - one of my friends introduced me to her best friend at Ren Faire over the summer. The three of us have been hanging out a lot, either the 3 of us together or just two of us, mostly Matt and I. And I had a big ol' crush on him, and he told me he had a big ol' crush on me too, and now we're kind of a thing and I'm seeing him today and I'm super excited and oh my goodness run-on sentence. But yeah, yay for mutual crushes!

I had a strange moment with a close friend last night. We've been friends for about a year or so, always been close, but recently becoming very good friends. I sort of had a crush on her at the start, but I realized she had a boyfriend, a boyfriend who is not only a really good guy, but someone she's been in love with since they were eight years old. In light of that, I've never made a move or anything, and we have become really good friends, and I'm very happy about that.

Last night, whilst out celebrating another friend's birthday we got reasonably drunk. Somehow we ended up doing real talk, I talked about my various heartbreaks and how they have made their way in to my writing. She talked about how she misses her boyfriend, and somehow wishes she hadn't found that one guy so early on in life, so that she could be like everyone else in their twenties, and screw around and be young. She talked about how he was probably going to ask her to marry him, and how she was scared of getting old so young. And then she said that if she were single, we would probably be going out. And then she cried and I took care of her, made sure she got a cab ok.

Interesting thing to realize, that you and a very close friend are just a few plot twists away from being boyfriend and girlfriend. And I don't say that because I want to steal her or anything stupid like that. But until last night, I don't think I really understood how close we are to one another, and how alike we are.
