I can't really talk about what I think is the best part of the game, since it risks major spoilers.

What I can say is that it is worth completing the game again on New Game +.

But if you want any help on the game, I'd be willing to read any PMs. Although I never found any part of the game which required a walkthrough, but if you'd like any advice I'd more then happy to help.

Well, I finally finished buying all of the weapons and abilities for the USS Delta Team, so until I buy the DLC pack for the Sprc Ops team, I'm putting this game to bed.

So, do I move on to Resident Evil 5, or go back and try to Pro Mode 4 first?

I wish I could make money off playing DotA2.

Sometimes I feel like I am wasting my time. When I am on a team of 2/3 people who are letting our team lose slowly. It forces me into a position of trying to find enjoyment, or finding ways to end the game sooner without being validly reported for it.

I write blogposts about DotA2 and MOBA game philosophy and a series of 'How Not To Play'. But I feel like if I got some money relating to that sort of activity, it would make game losses feel like less like a waste of time.
My skill level has reached the point where the amount I learn about playing the game after a loss is very little. The only thing I learn is The Psychology of Moba players.

You could try to get a team of 5 together and see if you guys can go pro.

Seems like a pretty big investment though. I think that the amount of people who can actually make money with this game are just a few. There aren't many tournaments and the prizes aren't great.

Not sure if it would be worth it.

Yeah... that involves my friends who play DotA2 to actually play with me. So far they've enjoyed not telling me they're going to play a game, despite seeing me play DotA2 all evening.

I need to find a way to make an income from DotA2 solo-play. I lack the skills to do 'Lets Play'.
In less I do a series of "Lets Plays" where I play a match as a random hero and I have to Support on That hero.

All I need now is confidence.

Ended up buying RE5 Gold. Regular RE5 was $0,90 cheaper.

Sheva's bow was much much more awesome than Chris' whatever he had anyway.

Sheva's bow is one of those "play twice to unlock" things though.

I started Path of Exile because it was advertised on Steam. Heard about it when it came out. Skill tree looked SO confusing I avoided it. And I didn't hear anything about skill resets.

So tried it recently. Really does feel like a great Diablo 2 style game. It's kinda like Guild Wars 1. Towns are public, your areas are instanced. Works for me! I like taking things at my own pace, exploring everything and not racing from A to Z. And more importantly, killing secret bosses on my own without an entire zerg going "COME HERE 4 L00T! NEXT ONE! CHOO CHOO!"

Way to apply yourselves.

Okay, you've piqued my interest now...because I definitely need ANOTHER distraction from finally finishing off Fallout: New Vegas. ;)

Will check it out...

Turns out you do get skill resets if you trade with other players or find a rare orb yourself. Then you get the puritans. "OMG Y SKILL RESET?! JUST DELETE AND START OVER!"

Because I have a career and a social life and don't feel like spending 200 hours on a character, making one mistake and deleting it all over again.

Question about RE5 blue medallions - if I miss one, and I replay a chapter to get it, do I still have to shoot all the other ones I already got (because apparently they show up again regardless)? And do I have to finish the chapter to properly take credit for them, or is a checkpoint good enough and I can exit after that?

Any you shoot is permanently shot. You can replay and find any you've missed and ONLY those you've missed.

As far as I know, you need to complete the level. I tried the checkpoint thing and never got credit for it. This was outside of Gold though so I don't know if anything was changed or they purely added a DLC pack.

I tried playing it again (because you mentioned it), and I enjoyed it a lot more this time.

The talent tree was so intimidating I had to research it. And I was happily surprised to find out all classes have a wide variety of viable play styles.
That is what I like with a game. A game that offers you a good balanced selection of playstyles for each class. I could roll a ranged Magic/Dex user, but I won't if it's underpowered.

Like the Melee Emberwizards could have worked in Torchlight 2. Just in solo play they were so dull and difficult to play. Torchlight 2's wacky class styles didn't work in solo play. The Berzerker magic user optimum build was interesting, but it felt wrong to dual wield wands on him. Yes, he's now cast-heavy, but wielding wands doesn't feel berserker. A wand can never be bad-arse.

So yes, I look forwards to playing my Shadow eventually as a magic bow user (epic squee) or a close quaters AoE monster. In the mean time, I'll use this 'fast levelling' as a template.

yay. Thank you Kobra.

I played Path of Exile when the open beta happened. I think I have a character in Merciless Act 2.

As you say Darkobra, it's not fun having to start again, but the game is kinda set up that way. If you build your character wrong, you might find yourself at a point you simply cannot pass. So you roll something else, and try again.

The races are pretty cool. Everyone starts a new character at the same time, and you go as far as you can in 1 hour, 4 hours, a week, a month, some set period of time, without dying.

I also loved the huge number of different ways you can build you character. You might get stuck eventually, but you can have a blast whatever what you want until then.

Also, the devs are Kiwis, so that's a plus :)

From what I've read it's just DLC. Two new levels, revamped Mercenaries and everything else is pretty cosmetic (costumes, figurines, etc).

Been looking at Risk of Rain. Looks like a great game and some friends of mine say it's a blast. Should I go for it or save the money and donate to DB007?

Just watched Anthony Burch play it. He wasn't too impressed: http://www.twitch.tv/heyashtwitch/b/478689780?t=14m00s

I do like the style though, it's very cool looking.
