Some Pokémon are less able-bodied than others, and we're here to help.

Is the crew playing Pokemon now? When did this happen? I require further details of this.

The great thing about Pokedex entries and sketches, is that there's a lot of them.

I think the problem with internet videos about Pokémon is that there's too many of them, and while I like both Pokémon AND LoadingReadyRun, this missed the mark for me for that reason. I mean, it was adequate I suppose, but I know that you guys can do a lot better and more original sketches than this, and that bugged me all the way through.
There were a couple of really good points though. Maya's voice acting made me remember how sorry I feel for people who have to make Pokémon cries (especially in the anime) with a straight face, but it was really well done, and the stinger was pretty great. And Monica Ray's furless Wigglytuff art was horrifying. :P
And I understand, all said and done. You can't put out gold every week, and if there's going to be any week when you're not putting out gold, I guess it WOULD be Desert Bus week.

I think what I found funny about the sketch was the fact I know Pokemon and how fail these Pokemons can be.

To me, it was an in-joke sketch.

But the gunSunken and Grenadinny were great universally-obsurd scenes.

I feel like Cam wrote that stinger.

But yeah, some of the pokemon flavor is DARK. Like that balloon-like ghost pokemon who tries to steal children for unknown reasons.

One of my favourites is Gorebyss. In Pokemon Emerald, it's Pokedex entry was:
Pokedex wrote:A Gorebyss siphons the body fluids of prey through its thin, tubular mouth. Its light pink body color turns vivid when it finishes feeding.

But they've tamed it down in recent years. From Diamond and Pearl:
Pokedex wrote:It lives at the bottom of the sea. In the springtime, its pink body turns more vivid for some reason.

Other good ones:
Pokedex wrote:Dusclops's body is completely hollow - there is nothing at all inside. It is said that its body is like a black hole. This Pokémon will absorb anything into its body, but nothing will ever come back out.

Pokedex wrote:A discarded bug shell that came to life. Peering into the crack on its back is said to steal one's spirit.

Pokedex wrote:The fate of the ships and crew that wander into Jellicent's habitat: all sunken, all lost, all vanished.

Pokedex wrote:Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry.

Who was it that said Pokemon was for kids?

I have been waiting SO LONG for you to do a Pokemon video.

This was worth it just for Maya's adorable Sunkern voicework. SO CUTE OMG

The art from Monica was also a great touch. That shaved Wigglytuff will haunt me forever. I could definitely tell that this was a Paul-written sketch!

Yeah, anybody who's played Pokemon for a while knows that Pokedex entries are dark. Like... a LOT of them are dark. It's not just a few. There are a lot of really messed up pokemon. Which makes sense, because you're combining animals (which can be terrifying and ruthless) with Japanese mythology and spirits (which can be even MORE terrifying).

Who's that Pokemon?

According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest.

On a technical accuracy note, Kathleen gave Sunkern a Glock, which has no safety you can switch off. (if the LRR replica pistol has a safety, then at least the line was based on the knowledge at hand).

Cam, you need to use training grenades when teaching someone how to use one. That way you can, for instance, throw one through a doorway without blowing yourself up if you bounce it off the frame.

Speaking of fumbling grenades... http://youtu.be/aCo6Dh08ayQ?t=1m59s

I never played Pokemon, but I enjoyed the sketch. Good job!

I think the fact that I'm playing X right now made this video far more entertaining.
And to me, it actually sounded like Graham said Psycat at 2:00. Coincidence?

By the way Graham, you totally faked me out with the music in the intro, combined with the way you were narrating; I thought you were branching The Whole Story into having multiple hosts.

This is probably one of my favorite sketches. I cannot stop laughing.

It's also the first LRR sketch to really get my wife laughing. Good work, folks!

I like how your newer videos are starting to have that... I guess randomness is the word? That earlier videos had(Wyy, Computer Envy(Although not technically a main video), and Dinosaur come to mind), and I love that. :D
