Tell me what the bus you were talking about and I'll let you back on. You were being very confusing. You were talking about some "Town Hall" blowing up and I want to know what and where it is so I can fix it. Do I need to roll back the server, or is it a simple patch job?

1. I said I broke your game, which clearly I didnt do
2. I said it was my server, which it clearly isnt.
3. I said I banned myself, which I have no way of doing.
4. I said I mined c4 in the explosives forest, which I cant do, doesnt exist in the game, and doesnt exist as a place.

but you are hung up on me saying I blew up your town hall, which doesnt exist, and I have no way of doing as I cant mine anything?

Before I joined the server, I asked you if it would be ok if as soon as I logged in I blew up town hall. To which you replied "you cant, because you cant mine anything"

I broke a boat while I was trying to turn around, thats ALL that I did in the game.

Which I said twice, between the bannings.

OK, when did I say that?
And I'm sorry if we're not communicating well. I'm kind of preoccupied with my real-world job, and I just was on to get you authorized and set before you started talking crazy.
I take stuff blowing up very seriously, since I have no real roll-back capability beyond backups and/or repairing it myself.

OK, now the server's flaking out... I'll repair it when I get off work.

Unstable server... Unstable admin... Goes well together, doesn't it?

You were unbanned before it broke. I don't know what's been going on. Bad mob spawns. Server slow-downs. I really need to dig into what happened when I was on the business trip, but I've been on auto-pilot since I've gotten back, and I'm not sleeping or functioning well.

Indeed, I was online when it went offline.

I was going to say 'I was there', but I remembered that I wasn't, I was sat here, in exactly the same place as I am now, more or less.

I might end up passing out in my work chair tonight again, so if the server doesn't come back tonight, I'm sorry about that. I'd say that I can't do server management in my sleep, but knowing my history, I probably already have.

Hey folks. Just wanted to let you know that I'll be back on the server soon. I had shockingly little time for gaming over the Christmas break but now things have settled down again. I can finally finish Mt. Aurelius!

Not that anyone asked.

Can I somehow be moved a little bit to the side of where I am or something?

Unfortunately I can't get in now because apparently being in a nether gate crashes Minecraft. Or however that works.

Alchemist: Uh... Not sure. Did you log off while in the gate?

If you can get on while I'm on, I can try to teleport you. Are you on the Nether side or the Overworld side?

Technically yes, it crashed while I was going through the gate. It's done that before but I've never had a problem just logging back in before.

I'm on the nether side. You'll need to be quick because it crashes after around 1 second.

EDIT: Never mind; I finally got some responsiveness out of that 1-2 seconds of connected time and managed to maneuver myself out of the gate.

Not sure why the server's unstable, and haven't had time to dig into the logs yet. You guys really put a doozy on it over New Year's.

Whitelist isn't on. Just come on in. :-)
In-game authorization required for breaking blocks, though.

Also, I've created a mod status and given several people it. Currently, it doesn't do anything except give people gold names, but I have plans.
Current mods are: Red_Mist, OspreyGBR, DewKnight, Fugiman, and Maie.

This is starting to become a recurring theme for me on servers, hehe.

Thanks Memo, I'll take it as a vote of confidence in my trustworthiness.

You're welcome for your currently-meaningless title. :D

Also, with the influx of 25 new people since LRL started, I beefed up the server with 1 GB more RAM and an extra processor. I looks like that lightened the load, especially the processor. However, it also cuts down the time left from 8 months to 6 months, barring any more infusions of cash.

Yeah. No big deal, as it's not super-urgent, but $43.93 per month can start to add up after a while. I'm not strapped for cash (despite what you may think from my Desert Bus purchases :D), but every bit helps. :)

Heck, you can even calculate it as 6.1 cents per hour, if you like. :)
