If I could I would donate some cash but my current lack of employment has prevented that :( That said last time I was on I dropped off like 500 bones to community storage if anyone wants them...

Steiny: Yeah. As I mentioned, I have to run the numbers again. I forgot to move the donation button to the new site, but I'll get to that today.

Hosk: Yeah, it's at the datacenter. Current drive is now 48GB and the server will be back up in about 4 hours, give or take.

Edit: Ran the numbers. It currently costs 9.5 cents per hour to run, or about $68.25 per month. My money input into the server will run out on May 22, 2014. The donations to the server, including the most recent (and largest, larger than all previous combined) donation runs it until October 29, 2014.

So the server's basically good until just before Halloween, barring any more upgrades that may become necessary.

Edit 2: Donation button has been moved to the main LRRcraft site.

I do hope the server will be online more frequently then it is now then, I will donate now though. But the more I can play the more I might invest in it considering my student financial situation.

Of course. The current situation was unexpected. I didn't think I'd need to upgrade the disk space like this, nor that the renderer would eat up all of the CPU so I couldn't start MineCraft. From now on, I'm never starting the renderer before MineCraft.

Currently about 2 hours left, it says.

Edit: http://bit.ly/LRRCraftIssueForm is now live, ready for submissions.

Edit 2: Good news and bad news. Good news: Server's up again. Bad news: I think you're hosed, deathjavu. :(
I'll help you rebuild as much as I can.

New submission form looks awesome, Memo.

Looking at the "cave" setting on the LRRCraft map, if I'm reading this right I have an abandoned mineshaft under my home. Again. I can't get away from these things.

EDIT: Finally found where my forum avatar was hiding. I have a face now!

So I went on to check and maybe start rebuilding...

and my stuff isn't cut! Yaaaaaaay!

I'm confused but I'm not even gonna question it. Thanks Memo.

Still cut on the LRRcraft map though. Maybe it'll be back on there after the next map render? (???)

Oh, I see, you disconnected the server because I'm an idiot.

Well thats fine, I wont be comming back since "you" violate the biggest rule lrrcraft has always had. I can now see why MasterGunner has left. Consider my island up for grabs. you can de-white list me. Its just a game. I dont need this kinda of drama in my life.

sigh.

Normal steps:
some one screwed up.
They are willing to fix their own screw up.
Let them.

Memo steps:
some one screwed up.
They are willing to fix their own screw up.
Ignore that and take down the server.

One method results in no work for memo to do and no disruption of the server... the other does not...

48-72 hours based on past experience. EDIT: Just refreshed the Lrrcraft site and it says the server is online now. I was able to log in too, but have to head out for work now.

Memo, if you decide to do any more map-chopping before turning the server back on, I would like to cancel my request to have my area reset. Went and started chopping down trees during Kathleen's stream today cuz I didn't have anything better to do, and I'm down to just about a dozen trees left to clear. Was gonna tell you in game when you were done dealing with the Nether situation to make sure you knew.

Alright, it's back up. I'm sorry. I just can't deal with the noise. I just want everyone to do what they're supposed to do. I have a hard enough time dealing with my destructive father already, and trying to deal with it simultaneously with server issues overloaded me.

Now, I've settled down and have tried to convince my father that NetFlix isn't going to hack him and sell all his information to the government and other companies.

I really don't even remember what anyone said anymore. What was the problem that I came in on again?

Clypheous (sp?) was running around in the Nether, trying to find a faster way to get to spawn, and announced that he had tunneled his way through the Netherrack to reach a nether rail line, right when you showed up in server chat. Cue several pages of ingame chat of varying degrees of joking/helping, followed by darkness.

Okay, really am leaving for work now.

I'm a jerk, and I'm sorry. I just need everyone to shut up and stop doing things sometimes. When I get overloaded, I explode, just like electrical things.

Look, I'll step down as admin, if you guys want me to. I might need to, eventually, if I end up going to jail for killing my father. Either that, or you won't have to worry, because I will have killed myself. One or the other will likely come soon.

I don't need it either, but it jumps on me anyway, and I explode.

Look, I'm sorry. Forgive me, please? I don't even remember what was said, because I was too upset at my father.
Foxmar wrote:LOL Memo I've had that same conversation with my mother! Why are they so afraid of Netflix?!
Have you actually read their Privacy Policy and their Terms of Service? Have you seen how much information they give out to how many other companies? I'm just used to it because I grew up in a different time.

Go ahead and delete the comment like it never happened. it still stings pretty good. I happen to think I'm a pretty good dad.

I never said you needed to quit being an admin, nor anyone else. all I did was try to lighten your mood with a joke and I got treated like crap for the second time by you. I thought we were buds but I guess maybe not. I get that your having issues, we all have them, but you can't keep pushing away the people who want to help.

perhaps one day I may come back, but for now I'm gonna see what else I can occupie my sparetime with.

I clearly didn't take it as a joke, though I cannot recall my thought processes anymore. I had to look at the logs to see what I wrote, because I don't even remember writing it anymore.

Please be clear that jokes, especially those with no context, can be easily taken as serious on the Internet. Not everyone has the same experiences as each other. I have no idea what "Don't rorry, Mama rill harp you." means.

I never said you weren't a good dad. Where are you getting that from?

I thought we were buds, too, but if you can't take me at my worst, then I don't know...

As a question, when was the first time? I seriously don't remember having any previous problems with you.

Also, from what I can tell from what I wrote I wasn't upset with you. I just needed to shut out the voices for a moment.

Memo I really think you need to seek psychiatric help.

The issues you're having dealing with people in a calm and rational way are not issues you should have to be living with. Get help please. You have made some provocative statements here that indicate you need help immediately.

memo I think you need to try to start from a position that not everyone is attacking, insulting, or slighting you.

Try to imagine that what people could be doing is being done in a positive way rather than assume that everyone is doing negative things.

Oh, I know I need help. Getting that help is the issue, though. Can you recommend some psychologists in the Baltimore area that make house calls, since I have no transportation?

Oh, I know that not everything is being done maliciously, and probably most of it is not. But ignorance and stupidity also grate on me, so that doesn't help.

I'm really sorry that you're ending up getting fall-out from my home situation, but I might end up kicking my parents out, house or no house, because I really am at my wits' end with them.

Edit: I was ruminating on something tonight, even before the fight and break-down. What would you think of having a TeamSpeak server? Would you use it?
Thinking about it after the incident, I'm thinking that it would be nice to know you're all people and not just unruly bits on a screen. Also, inflection and tone could help defuse things that text can't.
