Canada Women's Ice Hockey team.
The most unique, nicest, and confusing individual you will get to know. Don't be stupid around me, that's my job.

Re: The thread of win
Got 10 shirts, a sweater, and a belt from the thrift store for $45.
I'm washing them right now but man, I'm excited. Most of the shirts were v-necks too which I love, and most of them are by popular brands (not that it really matters, but at $4 a shirt it makes me laugh that someone likely dropped $20-$30 on these and they're in great condition).
I'm so ready for summer.

My back has been SCREAMING at me so doing my training again. In just three nights, I'm getting my old muscle back at an incredible rate. But this time, I'm not going to let it slip into "It'll be fine because I'm more active."
The chronic pain's gone and I can bend right over and almost touch my toes without any immediate pain. Gotta get up slowly or it screams at me but it's FAR better than it was.

Just had a great dream and woke up to another song written that can only be sung in Scottish. I'm calling it "Betty's A Bitch."

Even as the proud Swede that I am, I can't argue with that. The Canadian team straight out-played the Swedish in the finals, and kudos to them.
I just wish the press won't rave on and on about how great Crosby is, because he really wasn't as good as he can be in the tournament, only 1+2. But alas, he scored in the finals and now they won't shut up about him untill the 2018 winter olympics.

Not knowing anything about ice hockey I was impressed by the referees. Their ability to skate out of the way and avoid interfering with that black disk thingy everybody was so interested in was incredible.

Re: The thread of win
Spent this morning cuddled in bed watching Canada win the gold medal in Hockey with both my boys.
My new job is finally starting.
Both wins in my books.
Edit: I got another 80% in my skills class!

I went out riding quads on the sand dunes yesterday and I felt so virile doing it! But then my feeble pasty arms got sunburnt and I didn't. Fuck it, this should go in the Mixed Feelings thread.

Just finished the first draft of my second novel. Still a lot of work to do on it, but it's still a pretty good feeling.

I just learned that based on UCAS' new quantification of the IB system, my final grades from High School are equivalent to approximately 4.7 A-Levels.
So that's nice.
So that's nice.

I have no idea what book this is, but I want it.
It's all over but the crying. And the taxes.

Woot... found a nice pair of brogans for 50 bucks. My 1812 uniform is finally complete. Just in time for my first event next weekend!
