Making levels is so easy, I don't see anyone really needing handouts, but I guess it would come into play if people traded between one another more. But there really isn't much need for trading from what I've seen.

The numbers are the easy part. It's everything else about this crazy coding scheme that's weird. If I can get one working, I'll just copy/paste and edit that.

Regarding trading, I was seeing it less as a handout and more as a way to pay for stuff. Either "I need Item X that's not in the market!" and someone else can sell it to them for some money, or "If you can build this thing for me, I'll pay you this much money."

Well, I'm in the process of moving, so I probably won't be on much for the next month or so.

I've never used it, but I'm new. But like folks have said, leveling is easy enough that trading money isn't such a big deal; hiring or trading for non-market items can probably be managed through barter for the most part. Or maybe a money-transfer system could be put somewhere else in Spawn later on if it's something people end up needing. Maybe the bank?

I think the bank would be a great place for a money transfer system.

If you know the commands, go ahead. :)

Edit: Common commands added to the Mod sheet. :)

Anyone have a mine that extends near 378, -384? I'm digging above there, and I can see down into an impressive looking mine. I'd like to hook the mines up, but I can't really dig down without falling a long, long way. I see torches, so I assume someone is there.

I'm starting to see Mod rules not being followed. Do we need to have a talk, folks?

memo I'd like to request a render so the map updates.

The maze is done and I'd love to see what it looks like on the map.

I had a few people try it out last night and at least one of them found it rather challenging.

I was planning to do one last night, but I fell asleep before getting to it. I always want to do it at a time when the lag influences the least amount of people.

I'd suggest just a friendly reminder first.

Shouldn't be much reminding needed. These mod powers were just barely handed out.

I say be rather strict. Warn once, ban or remove from mod the second time. If you are strict, then mods will be careful to not abuse powers.

I'm a little bit insane though.

I would just caution, the mod or mods may have misunderstood your intentions and are innocently doing things "wrong" Im not saying thats the case but there does seem to be a theme of people getting in trouble for doing things "wrong" and being punished then being told later what they did and why it was wrong.

If it was "dont put yourself in creative mode" and they put themselves in creative mode, that would be one thing.

If it was "dont put yourself in creative unless you have to for" and they did it when you felt they didnt HAVE to, there is some grey area.

What Hosk said is pretty much why my suggestion was also: start with a friendly reminder. If possible use specific examples of what not to do.

I'm pretty sure no-one is intentionally breaking the rules. Once you HAVE mod powers it's very easy to slip up and use them when you shouldn't. Start out with a friendly reminder. If people keep fucking up, give them a final warning. If they fuck up after THAT, THEN you ban them.

Basically: Once is a mistake. Twice is a trend. Three times is when you intervene. (Atleast, thats how I would handle these matters)

I think its safe to assume that the rule that was broken was not reporting/documenting newly authenticated players. This was my fault which I tried carefully not to break.. my first authentication was rocky to say the least.

I copied the persons name into my clipboard and went to eat.. by the time I was ready to tell Memo, the clipboard was already used for something else and I forgot his name. that was a bonehead move and I apologize for it. Since then I have wised up and made sure to document the name right away to ensure I don't lose it. Once I have access to the mod documentation it will be harder for me to miss something so crucial.

If that wasn't the issue I'm sure Memo will address it when he gets back. Usually when he is gone for this long he is dealing with family and we wish you the best. I think the server has been running quite smoothly with Memos short absence so I dont think there is a problem.

Well, My weekend is gone.. time to start the work week all over again!

OK, my message from the phone while I was in bed did not go through. Yeah, I'm with Hosk, which is why I wanted to talk first. Red: You should have access to the document. I granted all 4 access requests when I first sent the link to you guys. Did you not request access at that time?

So, since last night Bedrock has been placed on my nether portal. I'm guessing it was either the netherrack mining I did, or the rail I placed. I'd understand the rail, it was just temporary to get around faster for when I was constantly going back and forth to the spawn. But are we not allowed to mine netherrack?

I really need a vent today. Who's up for another "Stress Relief Night" tonight where I roll back everything at the end?

If we're down for it, I'll save everything at about 8:30 or 9:00 PM EST, turn off the server, change the MotD, and turn it back on.
