Snakes and Ladders? Is that the New Zealand version of Chutes and Ladders?

Snakes and Ladders is the typical name of the game. Chutes and Ladders was the version produced by Milton Bradley, and became iconic in the US. Most other countries refer to the game as "Snakes and Ladders", though apparently this is changing in Canada as the old producer of the game went out with Pogs, and Hasbro/Milton Bradely have filled the void.
