Live on Location
I stayed up late editing this one, since the video we had planned for this week hit a snag and won't be done until Sunday. Enjoy!

Good job guys. I especially love the subtle touches.

New video a week before its intended release, and we got a bonus Kathleen stream out of the deal to boot. You guys are too good to us.
Also you should probably sleep...sometime. I hear that stuff's important.
Glad you're putting the KS money to good use though. All the way to the Bahamas and even SPACE for one weekly video? Don't burn through that budget too fast!

So they have "massive budget cuts" but when ordered to go outside by a fellow caster they do.... lawl.

Pales in comparison to the magnificence that is the Crapshot 131, but then what doesn't. Otherwise it was a good episode

This was probably intentional, but I got a very different image of what the Victoria Mugging Society would be like.

I did as well, especially the fact that Action 9 reports on "Economnomnomics."

"Economnomics"? [Watches sketch again for the subtleties] Oh by the way, who shouts "NO!"?(Wow three punctuation marks in a row without it ceasing to make sense)

Love it! I noticed the 2011 thing right away and was going to comment on it before I saw where the sketch was going.

Re: NEW VIDEO - Live on Location
But you really were outside at the end, and not just using the green screen again, right?
Great video! As a fun side effect, I looked up a clip of our local news after watching, and I couldn't help thinking that maybe they were pulling the same stunt.

Re: NEW VIDEO - Live on Location
I just realized some fourth-wall irony: that background Paul's on doesn't exist anymore, so Paul's on a green screen, too!

It still exists. They haven't painted over it as far as I'm aware. It's just the desk and everything was relocated upstairs. That's not to say he wasn't green-screened, but if they're setting up the camera in front of the downstairs green-screen, they easily could've moved the camera 15 feet left and used the actual backdrop.
Thinking of the wrong set. Ignore Me!

Re: NEW VIDEO - Live on Location
Good video, though it felt odd to me. I liked how the people working didn't tell him to spare his feelings on the matter, and how he felt betrayed that they weren't actually on-location at the places. Though I think it was hilarious that he was able to make them actually do it later. It felt like a "let's just not tell daddy that we're running a bit low on money..." situation.

Wait a minute... Channel 9... Action 9... Are they just faking the whole video?

Re: Live on Location
Besides the date on the electronic sign and the language of the sign, there are several clues that the footage was not filmed in Switzerland. First, the terrain and buildings around the station do not look very Swiss. It looks a bit like California. Second, most if not all railways in Switzerland are electrified while this railway is not. Third, the locomotive is a North American model (it is a EMD F40PH-2CAT but I have to admit I looked that up.) not an European one. Lastly the train is in the livery of Caltrain which is the commuter rail service in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
I may have been a rail fan in my youth. Graham can attest to this as we went to a few model railway shows together when we were kids. Also I have been on Caltain as well as a few Swiss trains (but not between Berne and Basel).

I like how easily the news anchor accepts “Reporting from actual space” and “Live in dinosaur times” as totally legit.
