I don't know if this win makes sense to anyone else, but let's try it.

Lately I've been working in a house that has just opened. Because it's all new, there are only three permanent team members there, and because they can't provide 24 hour care with only 3 people, the rest of the roster is filled with agency staff like me (people who work for other organizations that just cover shifts for people).

Recently there was a big incident involving a broken window with an agency staff member so the client's mother told one of the regular team members "no more agency".

This is utterly impractical at the moment with so few regular team members, but in any case, the regular flatly said "you don't want to do that. You'd lose the best worker at the house if you did that." Not only that, but the wheels are in motion to make me a regular team member there. Hurrah!

Dutch guy is beginning to assemble his drone strike force. ;)

With this one he'll have to start small - deliver spitball attacks.

Well, if I'm going to learn to pilot a quadcopter, I'd rather do it with a cheap and small one before moving on to something heavier with more potential for doing damage

I received 8.5/10 for the testing portion of my assignment today. The test I outright failed was, ironically enough, due to the same thing I was talking with my lecturer about barely five minutes beforehand.

I got asked to "entertain at a gig."

Now what they're REALLY asking is to drum and be Animal. What I'm going to do instead is whenever they take a break, I'm going to hog the mic and do some stand-up comedy.

People have alerted me that I am a funny guy and should do stand-up. I'm going to see how well I do next week.

I WISH I COULD BE THERE, Darkobra, because IT WILL BE AWESOME (even if you don't rawk at stand-up, sticking it to your 'hosts' for their vague request would be worth a few grins. :D

Well I'd already decided on an exit joke.

The Queen Mother was sitting next to the King of Tonga on a carriage! And then the horse just farted! Let it RIP! And the Queen Mother said "Oh I'm sorry about that!" The King said "OH! I thought that was the HORSE!"

So...I dunno what finally pushed me over the edge, but I've been catching up on YEARS of Shlock Mercenary...

I finally managed to write a five page sketch that doesn't have a cast of thousands or bizarrely expensive props or locations!

Only took me knife many attempts

(I posted a link to the script here in the video suggestions board)

Saved a hedgehog from being crushed by cars/idiotic children on scooters.

Rescued the hedgehog from the road (used garden gloves due to potential fleas and it maybe biting me).

Put it into the garden. Gave it some cat meat.

I mean, it's crawling back towards the road, but at least I gave it a chance.
It's also limping badly, so it may die anyway.
At least it has a chance.
No one else would have helped it. What would a normal person know what to do with a sick hedgehog?

Good man. I had to do the same with a puppy that wouldn't quite cross the road. It was WAY too small for the drivers to see. So I walked out in the middle of the road next to him and stood facing the cars with my hand out. Guy came out to gave me a bollocking. I just silently pointed at the dog. Then he parked his car to block any MORE traffic coming and it became the entire traffic trying to help this dog.

When it comes to animals, people tend to work together. It's just that when driving, it's very hard to see small animals.

As for me last night, it was an open mic night and a guy was playing Pink Floyd songs on a piano. I jumped up and started drumming with him. The guy got up, shook my hand and said "You're a great drummer!"

The man was a proper musician. Decades of music knowledge under his belt. For someone like that to say that to me made me feel great!

With British wildlife it's not clearly cut what's protected and what's not.
Red Crested Newts are protected, and TOUCHING ONE could result in punishment.
Bees are protected due to economy.

As a result, people are unsure whether none-rodent/fox Wildlife are actually protected. Therefore they won't intervene if the animal maybe endangered.

I didn't know what to do when I first saw it. I came home, rang my Dad up (he's a trained Ecologist) to ask for advice and basically, you're fine touching Hedgehogs (with gloves) as long as you physically don't harm them (otherwise the RSPCA will convict you). So I went back and rescued it.

It's now staying very still under the Baytree in my garden. It looks very... dyingly. At least it'll die "peacefully".

It's been given the appropriate food and water and it's safe from outside forces. Nothing more I can do for it.
