Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
So here's my deck. I managed to get the ol' 2 and 1. Played against Jedijon round one, got crushed by Karnasis game 2, and then managed to defeat Cantwearhats with the power of the LRR Window Birds.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
My deck was BUG durdle. It actually was pretty strong, but mana problems due to no fixing killed me more than anything. Also got land-screwed more than once, both to flooding and no land.
Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
So yeah, my deck: http://imgur.com/oyiOGMb I call it SCRYPOWAH.
I had some absolutely horrible picks, but ended up making an okay deck out of it, i feel. The knowledge and power scrybolt was actually quite good, allowing me to minibolt with my Scryfish. Did end up going 1-2 though, as i just couldn't keep up with Capnroberts fast deck, and against Lord_hosk i just never drew what i needed. Didn't help that i made several misplays as well. Was tons of fun though, and can't wait for next time!

Had I saddled it up with the Aspect of Gorgon like I should have, it would have nommed em all up.

I was actually having fun drafting this time round, and I didn't even know about the LRRFan Draft, just kinda lucked out I managed to join in.
Went 2-1, was really hoping for 3-0 all things considered, as I was in the zone several times (Did you know 2 swarmborn giants just wreck face on turn 4/5/6. I do now XD). RN7 called me fun police (I'm really starting to dig Blue, a color I only started playing recently).
Anyway, would I do this again, oh FOR SURE. I hope to face off against other folks next time (and maybe not draft green blue, though green blue is just gross)

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I won the first pod but I think my opponents scooped a little soon on a couple of them. I played against three great decks that were really piloted well I just got lucky and topdecked what I needed right on time and things cooked off.
I think I could have cut maybe the Marauder for the Siren of the silent song, and the armament for the enlightenment but then I never could have gotten away with 16 land which means cutting another one for a land so like 9-4-4? I dont know.

Kapol, I would, but can't. Between the fact it's almost 2 am here and the fact I do not have the money/pack and tix for another draft this week. Looking forward to next Saturday and or Saturday after.
Seriously hope I don't draft green/blue again (but it's soooo much fun)

I think I have drafted G/U EVERY JBT draft I've done... so I know that feeling.
Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Heh, I just don't know how to draft anything else. Also, I am a big fan of my standard green blue that plays different...

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I would love some input. It also sounded like a few people were just getting home from work when we started.
Once a week Vrs every other week?
Maybe do First and Third week of the month:
Saturday 9PM EST 6PM PST Sunday 2AM BST Sunday 11AM AEST
Second and Fourth week of the month:
Saturday 1PM EST, 10AM PST, 6PM BST Sunday 3 AM AEST
That way more people can join in?
Would a different time work for people?
Let me know what you think
Also these are super fun, thanks for everyone who came out tonight and to the couple of people who might join in the future its grand.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
The 2nd/4th timing has a much higher chance of working for me, if that happens next week it's even odds I'll be in.
Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I can't really comment on what day/time is good for me personally, since my schedule changes week to week. At latest I wouldn't be home until 9:30 est (10:30 AST for me). And that's disregarding the fact that generally I'll need time to log in, let mtgo have it's chrome hissyfit and then possibly trade cards for tix/packs (unless it's payweek)
However, having a defined schedule for us would be fantastic as then I could plan around it (barring work).
So I'm good either way.
I do hope we get more draft pods next time, 2 is impressive enough but more would be awesome

I actually like this breakdown a LOT. 1st and 3rd weeks cater to the US evening contingent while 2nd and 4th let our Euro/Aussie Runners get in on the fun while allowing midday US peoples a chance to draft.

I definitely like that setup for draft times. Can't always make it during the day and I can plan evenings around it for those saturdays

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I played quite loose and I need to shape up and play tighter and only can do that by playing more. I'm super stoked we have started doing this (seriously though... WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR US TO GET THIS ROLLING?!? I'm a dummy for not suggesting all this earlier) and its helping me with my plays. Plus, with us slamming two queues shut with just Runners, we knew it was juts gonna be some MTGO drafting with friends which is just the best.

I had a good time, and I was double-queuing a Triple-Journey with the fan draft. Went 1-2 in the 3J, and 2-1 in the Fan draft. Good times were had all around.

Would it be possible to hold one of these on a Friday/Sunday? I'm never going to be able to do Saturdays and I'd love to throw down at some point

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Suggest a day and time that would work for you.
Try to post it with day/time for EST, UK, PST and AEST, that makes it easier for everyone to glance at it and say "well im one hour earlier than that..." rather than trying to figure out where they are and how many hours off that time...

Friday 9PM EST 6PM PST Saturday 2AM BST Saturday 11AM AEST? Timezones are a bitch, us poor Europeans getting squeezed in the middle but there ain't much we can do about that.
