Also, it's considered poor form to edit your posts in a mafia game, with the exception of the organiser. No ill-intent considered, I know it's your first round up.

It depends a bit on context. If you do it quickly before anyone replies to fix a typo or something, no sweat. However, if people have already replied, it's best to leave it untouched, just to prevent people from misconstruing it e.g. thinking you might have edited the content in a way that would affect the game.

I also find it suspicious that someone would jump on ship strait away as well, so unless someone can dissuade me

Vote: romangoro
Of the two options, I think Korvys v Memo was as much a misunderstanding as anything else, not really convinced that Korvys has done much to arouse suspicion

Difficult. It is, after all, possible that Memo is playing an excellent bluff and is an ace, rather than the four he has claimed. Ok, though, at least a vote represents progress.

Well, Romangoro, that's 6. You're time to speak up is now. I actually really don't like the way this is going, but I can't see another way. Despite yesterday, I believe Memo's innocence.

Yeah, you're right, that was stupid of me.
So, here's my only defense: I'm the nine of spades. I was about to just post the picture JackSlack PMd me, but that might be illegal, and I've done enough stupid things so far.
Just as we all believe AdmiralMemo because no one else claimed the card he claims, I expect the same treatment.
Also, I didn't

I was leaning to side with Memo at the end of the first round, and went with that when this round started. So if Memo is blufing, I've been bluffed as well.
In the interest of peace, I'll change my vote for now:

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: 2nd hand, Daytime
That's quite an interesting tactic, come to think of it, since all Town are quantified, so if anyone else is the four or the nine, then this would lead to an argument.
Ok, I'm the eight of hearts. Anyone else want to claim my card?
Changevote: Korvys
Although, you have no real evidence against korv except that he's taken against the word manoeuvring, which does just about have the French for egg in there, which is daft.
Care to sway my vote by telling us what card you are korv?

(I suspect this will get very much like the MLP Mafia game, only moreso.)

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: 2nd hand, Daytime
I think AdmiralMemo is being honest, but I can't speak for anyone else.
The problem with this I can see is that while it's tempting to just ask everyone to come forward and claim a card, turning on everyone who is cagey, this leads to issues for the doctor or investigator, for example.

...and too many vanilla townies revealing just lets the mafia narrow down who has power roles. We shouldn't really be doing that unless our backs are up against the wall.

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: 2nd hand, Daytime
I agree with Duckay and Aeric. Think about it this way. We now know three roles with confidence (since nobody has come forward). So out of the 12 left, there are 9 unknown roles. Out of those 9, there are 3 mafia. So there are five villagers and a joker. So out of 6 roles, we have 2 power roles, giving the mafia a 33% chance of hitting one tonight.
Though to get on the subject of actually moving forward... I have a question for Duckay. What made you choose to discard Romangoro? I'm curious, as you seemed pretty confident. At first, I'll admit, I thought it was because you were the investigator. But if you were, then you would have seen he was town (assuming he's not lying). So was there a reason why you went right after him like that? Or was it just a hunch?
I'd say against posting the image you got themselves. Largely because that could be taken as a method of proving who you are with an outside source. While it may be acceptable to the GM, it seems like it'd be poor form to me. This way, there's at least some doubt (though given nobody has stepped forward, I'm confident you're telling the truth).

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: 2nd hand, Daytime
It seems somewhat redundant really?
Getting an image of the nine of spades takes about two seconds with google and if two people come forward with different images, none of the players will know which is the right one anyway

It was essentially just a hunch. I'm more convinced of AdmiralMemo's innocence the more I think about it but romangoro following along with what he was doing so quickly raised my eyebrows. It seemed like a classic mafia "don't be the first to act, but follow along" tactic.

Given that this day needs to end at some point, and I haven't really heard anything to convince me 100% of his innocence.

That's six for Romangoro, two for Korvys. Seven votes needed to discard.

Can anyone refute romangoro's claim that he is the 9 of spades? If not then we're lynching a townie and we should take a good long look at the 6 that are voting for him.

I'm not sure where to go from here, I don't think it's in our best interests to end the day with no lunch but I don't know exactly what is better...
I'm... thinking the best strategy is to go along with our best suspicions.

But no one else has claimed to be the nine.
If someone else claims to be the nine then one of them is clearly lying, and we should discard one, and the other if the first one we discard turns out to be the nine, but no one has.
Therefore, the only reasonable conclusion is that he's town.

Can someone do the math; if we all just put our cards on the table, do we just win? Obviously the Aces will lie, but can we get through that before we lose?
