Yep. Very weird, I just couldn't find it anymore. In fact, if I search now I STILL cant find it. And now I'm doubting again, because it turns out you DON'T get an extra copy of a game if you buy the triple pack if you already own it. And that means the deal is just slightly less good.

I've sold 5-6 summer sale cards for 30-50 cents each. I'll wait till they drop to 15-20 cents each and then buy the 10 for the badge.

Also, I was doing so well for 2 days, I hadn't bought anything on the Steam sale...and then Battleblock Theater went on sale for 75% off as well as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for 50% off...so I broke down and bought both of those AND World of Goo (also 50% off). Damn you Steam.

Anyone buying Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, buy the bundle, it's only 60 cents more.

I bought Rogue Legacy because... I watched that episode of Extra Credits and I saw its trailer.

I also see Blackguards is for sale. That is a fun game, but I encountered a shitty roadblock in the Demo where the encounter was too hard for my character levels.

Bought the Bioshock 1+2 pack, as buying the triple pack was 18 cents more expensive and didn't give me anything extra.

ALSO THE BIOSHOCK TRIPLE PACK IS NOW ONLY 10 EUROS! VERY GOOD DEAL INDEED!

I was good all sale, hoping some of my desired games went into the flash / community sale.
They didn't (2 got outvoted in the community sale though), so I spent my budget to get 4 new games.
Less than 12 hours later one of them shows up in a bundle for $1.50, curse you karma. Curse you :P

I bought so many games, gifted so many games and was gifted many more games.

When a 4 pack is like 30 pence more, you're damn right I'm going for it.

I had a disappointing sale.
I didn't buy anything expensive at least.

The only thing I came out with is Witcher 2 to play in the future.
Witcher 1 which I already own to give another chance.

Or Baldur's Gate 2 which will be a challenge for me to get into. Controls feel clunky. You'd think if they were remaking it, they'd improve the UI. Why do I have to right click every item to see its stats? There's just these little annoying things which have been purged since in newer games.
I can see the charm of this genre of game. I would appreciate the genre more if these prehistoric UI features or mechanics vanished.
Sometimes, there's a reason why no big game companies make these games anymore.

Welp, with all said and done, I think my haul was pretty respectable:

X3 Terran Conflict
Secret World: Massive Edition (3 bucks more than the standard edition? sure!)
Shadowrun Returns
World of Goo (Finally)
King's Bounty: The Legend (from GoG, but I'm counting it)
Gone Home (bought with money I made selling the trading cards)
Stealth Bastard Deluxe (gifted to me)
CIV 5: Brave New World (also a gift)

Not counting Secret world (which I bought from money I got from my gran) I didn't even spend 15 euro's!

Considering my hours (and thus pay) are thinning, and rent was due during the sale, I did better than I could expect:

Viscera Cleanup Detail ... which compelled me to get
Shadow Warrior
Euro Truck Simulator 2
State of Decay
a few <$.99 games for cards and library-padding

over on GoG I snagged that free game...and picked up Bioforge

and best of all, I got a handful of small gifts for people, mostly funded on my card sales, above my buying what I needed for the summer event badge. :)

(part of which, I ensured the wife got Skyrim:legend.ed., securing for her hundreds of hours of fodder for let's play videos.)

I got Card City Nights, Space Hulk (£1.90 for a game on my wishlist that usually costs £20? Yep!), Long Live The Queen (very difficult - think Game Of Thrones with a magical girl protagonist!) and Battle Block Theater (having seen the opening cutscene it more than justifies the miniscule asking price!)

Oh and DLC quest was up on Tuesday for the lofty sum of 50p :D

Steam were advertising Prepurchase Sacred 3.
It looked interesting, so I looked at Sacred 2.
That looked interesting.

I saw Sacred 2 was on a 80% discount Daily Deal and I thought: "GG Steam. You're smart."

Yes, Steam got £3 from me.

I just picked up Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and the new Tomb Raider, as well as Papers, Please for my brother. Just played CoJ so far, and I'm quite liking it. I enjoyed Bound in Blood, and this is slightly simpler gameplay and more stylized, but still very solid.

Sacred 2 is actually decent.

It feels like if Diablo and Skyrim had a child.

My only gripe is that the camera loves trying to have your character face forwards when you're playing 3rd person Drone-o-Vision.

On the flip side, I have two spells that turn me into two different dragons... so... cancels out?

My problem is that I seem to gravitate towards the Hybrid classes, so I have no idea what stats to build as a Dragon Mage. Especially since I have Melee Dragonform and Magicdragon form.

I'll have to wiki my class.

It's been too long for me to find an enjoyable new game.

The random Power Metal that appears on the game's background music is strange, but endearingly strange. Certainly unique.

I managed to get out of the sale relatively unscathed, having only bought three games. I got Metro: Last Light when it was deep discount. I also got Velvet Assassin for the same reason that you rent a crappy horror movie. Lastly, I got the first BioShock by itself because I already have Infinite and exactly zero interest in BioShock 2.

I enjoyed Bioshock 2 a lot. Everyone shits on it, but I think that's totally unjustified. And the Minerva's Den add-on is good too.

I've no desire to argue with you, Genghis, but in my opinion the ending of the first game left no room for a sequel.

Agreed, Bioshock 2 is a fine game in its own right. It's the weakest in the series story-wise, but it makes up for it by having the best actual combat mechanics, which turns out is kind of big deal in game centered around shooting things.

It's also not really a sequel, more of a side story since it only loosely references the events of Bioshock 1 and generally tends to do its own thing.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of strange how Bioshock 2 has the best combat and weakest story, Infinite is precisely the opposite, with easily the best story and worst mechanics, and Bioshock 1 being somewhere in the middle.

I'd let you know but my Bioshock 2 crashes randomly. For shits and giggles. Bioshock 1? No problem!

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/136350-The-Sims-2-And-All-18-of-Its-Expansions-Are-Free-on-Origin

Basically, in Origin, go to "Redeem Code" and type in:

I-LOVE-THE-SIMS

After July 31st it'll be the normal price (probably something unreasonable).
Enjoy seeing a virtual character have a more enjoyable existence than you.
