Update: Map Building renovation is coming along nicely.

I'm still pretty Imagey about someone griefing SAJewers' big map that this was based off of, though. :(

Won't be completely done until I go through all 535 maps to weed out duplicates and find useful ones.

I found two Spider Dungeons earlier today. Took the Moss Stone, and emptied out the chest, but I left the spawners there if anyone needs to farm String or Spider eyes.

Maybe it's just my own local issue, but I've been getting some truly ludicrous lag as of late. I was shuffling some inventory between chests earlier - the time between right-clicking one chest and waiting for it to open wasn't too bad, a "mere" 8 seconds or so... but the time spent waiting for the first chest to close so I could access another was measurable in minutes.

Any advice beyond "move to a less technologically impaired country"?

I think your distance from the server host and the notorious shittiness of your country's internet are conspiring against you, mate.

Sorry I haven't shown my face in a while. I set up a server with a friend of mine and we've been playing on that. I might pop in once in a while.

I know, you're all crushed.

Might get better for you if and when my company gets a point of access in Taiwan. Right now, there's the 3 datacenters in Paris, Luxembourg, and Baltimore, and we're planning on getting some access points in Texas, somewhere up in the northern US (like Minnesota), and somewhere on the US West Coast (like San Francisco).

But I am pretty much certain we're getting an access point in Taiwan since we just started up an office there.

The wall is rising once again. There are now Snownation boxes at the train station at the wall, and in the bank at spawn. If you have Snow you would like to get rid of please donate to the wall. It protects you all.

Also the defenders of the wall are desperately short of poison potatoes, they are growing them themselves as fast as they can but after the last attack of the wheatmen, there is little time to waste.

Poison potato donation boxes are located next to the Snonation boxes at the wall and in the spawn city bank.

Thank you for your support as they defend you.

GAAAAH. I got my "Unemployed Announcer" email last week. I've been thinking about what I want the message to be on and off during the past couple months but now that the pressure's on I got nothing.

And just so this isn't *completely* an off-topic post: Yay! The latest map render doesn't have any Creeper craters or stray leaf blocks from my tree harvesting.

I've got an End Stone Quarry set up, if you want to mine for it. There's almost 28,000 blocks in the volume, so I shouldn't have to worry about anyone running out any time soon.

Also, whoever removed the "Wait" record from the Dragon Portal Store: please return it.
I'm not too happy about that theft.

If I can get some help from someone, that would be great.

I've got a new rail line that goes like so:

Bayou -> Binary Station -> Weohtun -> Johnzoria's Sky City -> ???? -> Underwater Interchange (new stop on the line between Sand Pit and Parker)

What I need is to figure out whose build is at 1330, -700 so I can label the stop. I checked the list and the pending validations, but came up with nothing, and the place isn't labeled.

I remember getting the guy's Nether gate sorted out but I can't remember who he was.

In any case, I hope this new line helps people in the NorthEast get around better. (Yes, the line to Parker's still gives the achievement, in case you were worried.)

Why do all the Rail lines end with announcements?

I think he means the command block announcements. "<Player> arrived at Spawn City Rail Station."

Hello all, I have just picked up Minecraft for the PC (I played on the 360 before) and I would like to join up on the LRR server, is it the same as listed on post one and who do I talk to about zoning for a tower?

They've been there as long as I can remember. Sometimes its nice if you see a player is in your area. You can say hi and maybe meet up with them. There's not that much regular chat going on, so why not really. I'm sure there are other, actual reasons.

The stuff in the first post is actually about a previous iteration of the server. Most of the relevant information about the current server can be found here and here.

Oh, those...

Well, they're just something I added back in December of 2012, because I liked the idea of an announcement on the rails, just like a real train station. I asked everyone back then if they liked it and they said they did. It's just grown from there and no one's said anything else since then one way or another until now (1 year, 7 months later).

Is there a problem with them in some way?

I guess they're only really frequent if someone's going from one end of the map to the other.
