Re: Soul of Ravnica:

When comparing against stroke of genius and blue sun's zenith, you need to consider that those spells cost a card to play (whereas soul of ravnica's ability is a bonus on an awesome body), so you'd want to be in 3 colors for parity. Also, drawing 2 cards for 7 mana is great in any deck once you're top-decking.

Eat the microphone!
I sure enjoy watching LRR!

I wouldn't want to meet them though. I'm very allergic to cats and fun.

I wonder if they can put a lapel mic on him just so he doesn't have to make love to the mic :P.

This TTC was recorded June 27th, that tweet is from July 4th, so he should be on for the next TTC whenever that is released.

Perhaps some sort of electronic correction measure each time he moves too far away from the pop screen...

Please attach the mic to Cam's face. And continue having him on the podcast. I love hearing him talk about Magic. When I can hear him.

Regarding Soul of Ravnica: This REALLY feels like an indication that Khans is going to be an Alara style triple colour set with opposing colours. 7 for three isn't great value but it'd be a lot easier to at least get that value if you've got triple coloured creatures hanging out all over the place.

He starts off 0/2, so he needs another card to pump him before he's useful in any way. If you attack with him as-is, your opponent can let him through, and nothing happens.

Was that intentional?

He taps to deal 1 damage if he doesn't have a card exiled with the effect. So he is a pinger, that can sling your spells if you "load his gun with them".

Ok, I initially read it as "deals combat damage to a player". My mistake. Yeah, that's playable IMO.

Soul of Zendikar + that infinite mana combo you mentioned = a trillion 3/3 green tokens.

MaRo likes to describe Magic's momentum like a pendulum with regards to sets focusing on multicolor. We hit the apex of the multicolor side with RTR, and we're now swinging towards monocolor. To jump back to multicolor so soon would really work against that pendulum theory.

Victim of a Platinum Angel/Phage combo in Momir. Thanks, LRR!
