Yeah. Nobody ever calls me.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I would totally call you.... but I don't ever call anybody, nor do I ever answer my phone for oh such a number of reasons. Honestly I could probably just dump the phone... I just realized that.
Re: LRR Minecraft Server
The disorganised tree farm may have been me, I'm not sure. I farmed a whole bunch of spruce out of it a wee while back and didn't know there were designated zones, so I just replanted with what I had on me at the time iirc.
Sorry.
Edit: I have no idea about replanting the farm from empty over the weekend, but yeah, had no idea there was defined areas for each tree.

This is off-topic but man, I was hollowing out the next wall of my yet-unnamed subterranean forest and I realized that if you stand on one side of it and look over at the other side, the far wall doesn't render, so you can see the sky. Trippy, but awesome. Almost makes it look real.
Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Holy crap the amount of optimization in today's Snapshot. Huge FPS boost for me compared to previous snapshots.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
There aren't, really, but dark oaks can only grow in the 2x2 part, and I've put a "no oaks in the back row" rule so I don't have trees growing through the church windows again. (I just had a thought that acacias might do that, too, but I'm not sure. I'll try it out one day. Also, birch just refuses to grow directly next to a fence for some reason.)Ceiran wrote:The disorganised tree farm may have been me, I'm not sure. Other than those, there are no "rules" to planting. This is why I said "This, by itself, isn't that bad." However, I was expecting at least rows of trees instead of just randomness.

OK, after going over the logs in detail during the time-frame in question, I have come to a reasonable certainty that Hosk is not guilty, so I've unbanned him.

I would appreciate an apology.

I apologize for the ban, and for incorrectly interpreting circumstantial evidence.

Now can we be all happy and nice and nobody bring out their jump to conclusions mat? As well as people understanding that some things must work how they do to keep memo sane.

Yeah... Tonight, I'm going to try to refactor the rules to make more sense and put them in the new rules area (right behind the old rules area, and you might've seen it if you've gone to the Spawn Platform).

Adding them to lrrcraft.com would be nice, too.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Even if you've already made your intentions known in the thread, please vote in the Straw Poll, since I want to correlate everyone in LRL chat with everyone in this thread: Should LRRcraft have a FTB Lite 2 Server?
Edit: I got access to the LRRcraft twitter account, so that's cool.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Good idea running a straw poll, but should you also run a poll on whether or not people will actually play on a ftb server?

Perhaps an option along the lines of "I'm not actively seeking a Modded LRRcraft, but I'd play it if it existed" option? Kinda where I sit.

Not sure if its just me or not, but the top row of signs are hard to read with them so high up.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I had this idea for a secret project, but I wanted to make sure everything's kosher before I start fooling around with anything.
The finished item will measure 16 x 30 x 1, and will live just outside my keep at approx. -670, -840. The map shows a mine entrance at that location, but I have already demolished it.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Seems fine to me. I don't see any other people in the area, and no underground concerns.
Also, to everyone: Spawn City now has a building that is a Post Office and Hotel.
The Post Office on the first floor has 14 PO boxes that Mods can give you, should you want/need them. Players can place items in the box and you'll be notified automatically when that happens, or when you log in, if you're offline. If you miss the notification, you can still come by and check to see if the light is on, which means items are in your box.
Special thanks to Sibanamush for coming up with the design.
Current boxes: Me, muihtils, Hosk, Sib, and 10 unclaimed boxes.
The Hotel on the second floor is available for anyone who needs to reset their spawn point near Spawn City for some reason. Each of the 9 rooms cost 5 Dongs to enter. Each room has a bed, Ender Chest, torch, and exit button. Most have windows.
I hope this is useful to players.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
ug, wow. Anything in the logs to indicate anything at all as far as people responsible?
I really don't understand why people feel the need to just suck as a person.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
The whole thing was trashed.
I can check the logs, but the last time I checked the logs was months ago, and if I don't want to search through months of logs, I'll need to ask Osprey and others to narrow it down, since I don't know when it was destroyed.
As for right now, I'm too pissed. I refuse to deal with it. I'm just going to do the Fan Draft, go to sleep, go to church, and then maybe pick it up tomorrow afternoon.
Edit: Well, a really quick thing: I've narrowed it down to sometime after the last render, which was on July 9, 2014. (Cave Map FTW) So that narrows it down to just 17 days it could've been done in. Still a BUTT-LOAD of time to search, but yeah.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Apparently, I picked the worst time to be away from the server for a few weeks...
I don't remember the last time I was at Templemir was. We should investigate what players have been authorized in the last month or so. That should be in the mod documentation.
Maybe part of a mod's duty could be to explore the whole server on the rails and check for obvious evidence of griefing every once in a while.
I will try to be available to help with this, Memo, though I assume rollback will be happening? Or since we don't know when... I guess maybe not. We rolled back when the church burned down, but I was there when that happened, so we knew we could just jump back.
