Love it when I check my email and its a new cHustle!
This one was so good! Loved Beej's reaction to Paul's new goggles! Can't blame him for freaking out
These episodes keep getting better and better!

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
I love it! So full of references.
The bike...
Alex's streaming addiction...
The Meme Stream...
Feed Dump with THIS hat... (Wondering if it's a double reference since it appears to be a Loyal Order of Water Buffalo hat, which is reference to the Flintstones' take on Masonry, and Beej is a Mason.)
The addiction of everyone playing Dark Souls... (By the way, will Beej ever play Dark Souls for real? )
"Go left"...
And that subtle effect at the end with the overlay.
I am, however, curious what "double-streaming" would even entail... Streaming on 2 channels at once?
Unrelated, in the tangle of wires Beej holds up, I can make out 2 HDMI plugs, a USB plug, and some sort of power box.

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
My only complaint would be that it felt a little short. cH episodes generally work with a more longform arc... it seemed like there was a secondary element to the story missing.

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
While it was only a little bit shorter than an average episode (about 7 minutes on average, while this was about 5 3/4), we're used to flipping between an A Story and a B story in commodoreHUSTLE episodes. This one only had an A Story, with no B Story.

So the cH Paul now has time-travel technology? This can't possibly end badly.

I really liked Beej's portrayal of a shell-shock victim. Also, it's good to know that disturbances in the space-time continuum and/or the notion of causality only cause minor earthquakes.

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
And the earthquakes really just depend on having a screen show the futurestream just outside the streaming office! Easy to avoid, probably.

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
Generally we DO have two plots in a cH episode, but James, Kathleen, and I were out of town when this was originally shot (there were reshoots, we'll tell you later), so we'll say the B plot was off-camera

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
Oh sure, that works for you guys with competent internet companies in first world countries... what about the rest of us where a 20 second delay would be a miracle? Unless you've got some sort of time/space variance field thing.
Not bad though. One little detail I noticed was that there's no transition after the opening titles... just cuts straight back into the action. Seems a little off putting, but being that it's a continuing scene, I can see the logic. Still weird though.

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
okay this went from commodoreHUSTLE to an episode of Doctor Who really fast. That's not the problem, the problem is that it ended.
I may not be funny or witty, but that does not make me less strange.

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
Wait, why is there a blurred stream overlay of Paul, Cam, and Alex watching Beej stream?
Are we watching them THROUGH the stream monitor?

Re: NEW VIDEO - commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
Because the camera is supposed to be "inside" the TV?

Alright. I didn't notice the overlay was flipped at first.

I just finished watching the latest Dr. Who and this was a fantastic follow up.

[This should be in the commodoreHUSTLE forum!]
Considering that Paul played with time, it's possible the b-story will take place later during this episode...
We could end up with a BttF episode where future selves end up interacting with parts of this episode?

This video is amazing.
From 1:46 to 2:00 is basically my new favorite scene ever. It's so perfect.
So is Alex's "We're dead. We're dead and it's your fault."
LOVE IT.

Re: commodoreHUSTLE - Fixing the Stream
I have to say, this technology is definitely something I've considered trying to add to LRRbot... it would be fun to be able to run community-voted MtGO drafts again, something we haven't been able to feasibly do since the tech switch however long ago that jumped the lag up into the half-minute range...
I'm sure equipping LRRbot with time-travel technology would have absolutely no repercussions whatsoever, and humanity would be completely safe.
