Sorry to Interrupt
Sorry to Interrupt
Oh this is embarrassing. Maybe we should have just reshot the whole thing. But we didn't have time. So sorry. It'll be fine I'm sure. Just as long as you're prepared. But maybe I've said too much.

Aw, man. I was so expecting the credits to be interrupted.
"Sorry, sorry. Should have had Graham and James in there. I know it doesn't seem that way, but ... well, you'll see in the stinger. Sorry. I'll get out of the way and let you enjoy the credits."

Re: NEW VIDEO - Sorry to Interrupt
When I saw "Alex" and "Cameron" at the start, I thought this was a continuation of last week's cH and that the timestreams were gradually becoming fucked.
That said, the actual sketch for me fell flat. It fell into that awkward middle ground where it's too silly to be taken seriously (and thus expectations are subverted), yet not silly enough to where anything comes as an outright surprise.
Then again, blatant "meta" comedy isn't often my cup of tea, so.

That was pretty great... The only thing I would've changed about it personally would have been to have the clothing be exactly the same for each bit.
Also, Alex playing Cam was more believable than Cam playing Alex.

The casting changes were so subtle; I hardly even noticed.

I don't think switching Alex and Cameron to play themselves is too noticeable, but I'm gonna interrupt the whole sketch to point out how not noticeable it is.
This was a really fun one, and for bonus points it's even less confusing than the storyline to RE6!

I've found that a normally-animated person playing a subdued role tends to go better than a normally-subdued person playing an animated role.

Re: NEW VIDEO - Sorry to Interrupt
Quick question - once the season 11 DVD comes out, will it be this version of this sketch, the director's cut, the director's extended cut, or the super deluxe director's opus edition? In any case, I expect no fewer than 5 commentary tracks to choose from... or all played over the top of each other... whichever.

Re: NEW VIDEO - Sorry to Interrupt
I have to know. Where did the tie go between shots? It was there, then there was something with Paul, I wasn't really paying attention, and then the guy sitting down didn't have a tie anymore and then later he did again. Except it was a woman wearing it I think. Then the hat was up higher and more Paul or something. I think he was talking about PS4s or something, I really wasn't paying attention. Anyways, where did the tie go? And who was the guy with the beard in the final shot playing? One of the guys with the tie, or Paul?

Thanks Paul. glad you were there to help out and walk me through the sketch, I was so confused.
Also it looks like you've been working out Paul.
Graham needed to put on the dad pants again...

Re: Sorry to Interrupt
See, now I want to see an extended Cam and Alex discussion in this manner, but without the interruptions. That is, all of the LRR crew rotating in to provide impressions of Can and Alex on every cut.
Still, a good, if very very silly, sketch!

If this is the first LoadingReadyRun video someone saw, that person would be verry, very confused.

Re: Sorry to Interrupt
I have to agree with what Heather said on the stream tonight. This one fell a bit flat to me. I think the main issue was really just that it felt like it drug on a bit. Like... I think all of the writing was really good. The stinger, the back and forth between Cam/Alex and Alex/Cam, and even most of the interruptions themselves. I enjoyed it, but it didn't really hit a good funny bone.
Going full-ham with just the idea of a bunch of continuity errors seems like it'd work better. I think it'd work really well as either a crapshot of just something similar to the 'uninterrupted' video, or a version where everything keeps changing without anyone noticing except for one character. Either without them changing and just noticing other things change, or the character changing and noticing it. Having the character change could lead to some funny changes. Like having the last/a later one be from, say, Graham to Kathleen. I dunno. I think that'd work well.

Absolutely silly!
However:
Leaving aside the fact that I am quite happy that I watched this at home and not at work since the volume of my laughter seems to annoy my co-workers when they try to get work done... Now I want to see a sketch where everyone is playing someone else... I always figured that Paul wouldmake an excellent Kathleen... and obviously Graham and Alex are interchangable.

God dammit.
It's gotten to the point now where every new sketch just makes me sadder that the end of the year is fast approaching. Pretty much every sketch this year has been exceptional. Well done once again.
