I appreciate the consideration, Lord Hosk, and because I don't currently have any income, I think it's better not to wait on my behalf. I'm hoping I'll get a call back saying I got the job within the next couple days, but I don't think it's fair to make everyone wait on a chance.

Which, I suppose, means I could take on the role of a non-participating TO, if that helps people out.

I saw Hosk talk about this in the LRRMtG stream last night. I'm interested, though I'll need help navigating all the MtGO stuff. My MtGO name is "venerable_bede," same as in the Twitch chat.

Alright, I've just finished my sealed event, and I've got my pool. My MTGO name is DomesticSleepers, and I'll be sending the PM to good Sir Hosk momentarily.

Can I just get a clarification on what you mean by this?

I'm not sure if by "Spikey behaviour" you are literally just referring to people getting upset about prize pools, or if you're also trying to encourage an environment of more casual play.

The time that the event is scheduled to begin is a little rough for me because I'm not 100% sure I'll have time to register a pool by then but I will see what I can do!

The spikey behavior I was referring to is people getting upset over prize pools.

This sounds like fun! I think I want to join, but I agree that a Sunday deadline might be a little soon. Unless maybe people want to do a sealed together this weekend? I'd be up for doing that instead of a draft on Saturday, for example.

I'm fine with playing for fun rather than prizes - especially since I plan to get my packs from a sealed event, so I'll already have gotten some value there.

I'm not sure what works best for posting or PMing your pool. It's tempting to just keep your pool secret, but this is just a casual league and as blackwlf pointed out, posting here would mean less administrative work for Lord Hosk since anyone could look into suspect pools.

I'm definitely in favour of no time limits. I had fun chatting with people during matches last week, but that lead to me finishing a game with 0 seconds on the clock. It'd be nice to not worry about that.

Oh and Lord Hosk, thanks for offering to run all this. :)

Sarah if we were to push it back would we be delaying a week or like a month?

Oh sorry I forgot to mention that. Just a week would be fine - I just wanted more than a day or two to pull things together.

Hosk - love this idea, so you can count me as in also.

Personally I see no issue with just having everyone post there deck here (it's for fun so if you are really looking to spike this you might not be in the correct place). Too that point I'm also against prizes.

If we are doing "add-a-pack" at the end of every session it my be better to do KTK and forward instead of currently in standard, that way if we aren't done before Theros & m15 rotate out ppl don't take issue with a random God or 2 floating around.

To Sarah's point of waiting for the 22nd to start that would make things a lot easier and give more time to get the word out.

The only question I have is did anyone have any thoughts on how to handle vacations? I know I for 1 don't normally have internet access when I'm on vacation (by design) and don't think it's right to punish ppl for having fun away from home.

I am now inclined to agree that having all the decklists posted openly in chat will be easier.

That way anyone can take a look at them and say "that cant happen you have 12 fate uncommons" or "you cant have that card without the cards that fall on either side of it in the print run"

Im also going to say we wait a week and start on the 22nd.

Should we maybe do a separate thread for that, then? Post the pool shot and MTGO name on a league entry thread, or some such?

as much as I want to do that I think it might cause too much confusion. Just post your pool image here.

Well this is pulling lurkers out of the woodwork. I would also love the opportunity to be involved in this.

Posting all the lists sounds fairest - though I'm not too fussed either way. Someone that desperate to game the system could just open multiple pools and pick the best one, and I'd imagine 99% people aren't insane enough to want to cheat a friendly league.

Yeah I assumed posting pools rather than decklists, as I assume you're allowed to make changes between matches?

Okay, all this sounds good to me! Count me in. :)

Does anyone want to do a sealed tonight, or should we not pull people away from a FRF fandraft? I'd like to play with you guys when I get my sealed pool, if I can. Tonight or tomorrow night would work pretty well for me.

Oh and my name on MtGO is Serinde.
