GP Vegas, May 28-May 31

Postby JWiley129 » 30 Apr 2015, 15:19

So which other Runners are going to GP Vegas?

I'm headed down on the 27th and leaving June 1st, and I want to get a runner get-together up and running.

Also, there are Two headed giant Modern Masters 2015 events each day that I wanna try out. Any takers?

I'll certainly be there. I'd kill to get a Two headed giant sealed buddy! My fiancee' and usual partner for those won't be able to make it. I'll be there for Saturday and Sunday. Anyone else? Might be fun to get in a fan draft or something!

I'm in the main event for Saturday/Sunday, so we'll see if I can get super hot and make day 2. Otherwise I'm open for 2HG.

I'm right there with you. I'm going to strive for day 2 but won't be surprised if I drop early do to not being able to hang with the more experienced players. I also suspect that where MM2 will really shine is in drafting.

Arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday night. I'm in a couple side events Thurs/Fri, and doing the main event Sat/Sun. Hoping to day 2, but if not there's always more stuff to do at a GP.

Hey guys, can I ask you a big favour that I wouldn't normally ask? Can you test out my company's app while you're there and see how accurate it is? It's called Roaming Hunger and it's a food truck tracker. I could really use in-the-field testing from somewhere other than LA. Please only do it if you want to, though. Thanks.

And all I can do is read a book to stay awake. And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape.

Eh, sure, why not? Is there an Android edition of said app?

I've taken the liberty of compiling Graham's schedule in the main event, given that he played out of his mind, got to Day 2 for the first time and actually finished in the money. Figured he might like it for posterity's sake.

Round 1: Beat Kyle Gustavson 2-0
Round 2: Lost to Lawrence Chieng 2-0
Round 3: Beat Leigh Braley 2-0
Round 4: Beat Zack Loos 2-0
Round 5: Beat Tyler Knight 2-1
Round 6: Beat Brandon Kohrs 2-0
Round 7: Beat Steven Phillips (1-time pro tour veteran) 2-1
Round 8: Drew Travis Boese (1-time pro tour veteran) 1-1-1
Round 9: Beat Ian Krisanits 2-1
Round 10: Lost to Craig Edwards (8-time pro tour veteran) 2-0
Round 11: Lost to Andrew Abernathy 2-0
Round 12: Beat Khaatim Boyd 2-1
Round 13: Beat Chris Flink 2-1
Round 14: Lost to Ralph Betesh (2-time pro tour veteran) 2-1
Round 15: Beat Bryce Mitsunaga 2-1

Final record: 10-4-1, 174th place (or, 1-2-1 against the Pro Tour)
