Share your Art with the world!
Re: Share your Art with the world!
After 400 and some pages, the main characters in my novel finally get a scene together, so I had to draw that. Looks pretty wonky I think, but not entirely terrible.
I fancy that people may even be able to guess what's going on here and who these people are. Any thoughts?

Judging by the messy table, drug den.
The most unique, nicest, and confusing individual you will get to know. Don't be stupid around me, that's my job.

It's definitely a form of den, and I've heard sugar is David Lynch's drug of choice, so that counts.
They're eating candy, comparing scars and telling stories. Sad stories, so Mortalis isn't half wrong either. Without context and all.

A couple of (sorta) recent works in progress:

Those sketches are looking good, Phail. Only comment I'd have is that the bent arm of the guy furthest to the left is too long, but other than that it looks like a great start.
Finally decided to get off my ass and try to do some painting practice.

Looks good.
And yeah, there are a few things wrong with Roberts (on the left). He is supposed to be the shorter of the three, but he's too small in general compared to the other two.

Thank you! ^_^
Yeah. Proportions can be a bus when you're dealing with just one person, even worse when you got several. xD
That said, as I said, it's looking good so far!

I came to this land
empty and cold
so worn from my days
on the road to nowhere
that even the smallest
spark of hope had long
since been extinguished
I came to this land
alone and lost
upon the road to nowhere
with no forward or back
to hold me down
I dove into the unknown
with no concern
I came to this land
and found things
that I never knew
I could love, and
found love itself
waiting for me
I came to this land
seeking nothing
and finding everything
before me. I was reborn
in the land where the sun
rises, and tempered by it's
ageless movements
I leave this land
with tears in my eyes
knowing that I found a place
a home that I had never had
and that the road back my never
be walked again, but now
I carry hopes spark to see the sun
rise here once more.

This "being productive" thing feels weird.
Again, proportion issues, but I'll fix them tomorrow. A blessing of working digitally.

The rules of this challenge are:
1. Make a three-frame terrible .gif of yourself
2. Must be black and white
3. Must be three frames
4. Must be you
5. Must be poorly drawn
6. Must be fun to make

I did a thing! Hiding it in a collapse because while it isn't really nude I'd rather stay on the safe side!

Watching DB8 videos, and found the Draw Cats art challenge. I don't know Khaavren or Baxter that well; these doodles are extrapolated from the other entries.

It's a gift for two of my friends who are getting married. This is my 4th proper landscape.
Re: Share your Art with the world!
Trying out actual colors and backgrounds and stuff, and getting hype about Shadowrun: Hong Kong in the process.

@Merrymaker_Mortalis That's really well done! Did you paint that outdoors or from a photo? Or did you just compose the image out of your head?

Photograph.
But I live in a mountainous area, so I hope that filtered into my painting.

It does, I really love the way you do mountains - they're sort of ethereally unreal and yet strikingly realistic at the same time, its a very unique and effective juxtaposition.

Re: Share your Art with the world!
I can't stand doing photorealism, but part of me wants to replicate the image perfectly. So the two are in conflict, and I have to find a nice compromise.
I love Expressionist painters.
This is also my favourite "landscape" painting, ever (excluding some of Van Gogh's).
