Season 1 of commodoreHUSTLE -- excluding Future -- is the main one that comes to mind.

Apparently, the story about Father of the Year Desmond with his 30 kids, is mostly wrong.
Is it the place of the LRR wiki to clear up misconceptions like this? I think so, but what does everyone else think?

I feel the trivia section would be a good place.

So... this is the way we currently put up the Crapshots episodes. Not as their own pages, but in a big list.
Is this the way forward, now knowing that Crapshots will continue for the forseeable future.
As I look at this chart... it appears that there are no release dates listed on the Crapshots. That's quite an oversight. Or was that on purpose? I honestly don't remember, it's been so long.

I've benn thinking about them too; with the way they are done now there is no way to credit each actor for their filmographies. Although I realize creating individual pages is quite an undertaking…

They don't necessarily need their own page. In Semantic Mediawiki you can create subobjects of pages. Subobjects are "objects" that have properties (AppearanceBy, ReleaseDate, etc), and seems they can be used more or less as though they are real pages, but they are actually part of another page (such as the Crapshots page for the Season). The only differences seem to be that they don't have a page of their own and so can't be linked to directly, and they can't have categories.
I've been playing around with them a bit, and I think I could create a reasonable template for crapshots, that would create the subobjects for each episode. I'll try the first few episodes of season three. The subobjects themselves are invisible, but you can do a query to automatically display a table.
The idea is that template will create a subobject for each episode with the properties we require, and a query will automatically create a table of episodes for each season.

I'll have to see exactly how you implement it to know if that will work. But that sounds good.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
I created a Offline Videos navigation bar, mostly for videos we lost on Blip.
EDIT: Wow, the links for Ask an Alex 1 and 2 link to REVVER.
That takes me back.
EDIT 2: I think all of the Whatever Thing, too.
God, when did I become old?

It is a gradual process.
I just realised I have been watching LRR for 11 years.
I think as Crapshots have evolved from Alex derping around at home to fully produced mini sketches, they now deserve a more substantial presence on the Wiki.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
You make a good point, Chrusher. It's sort of the same argument I resisted when people were suggesting it was pointless to make every episode of Unskippable have it's own page, and I was sort of like, "Just because there's not a lot of information on those pages doesn't mean there's no reason to make the pages. We should try adding the info to make the pages more useful."
If we do this, I think we should base the pages on the Unskippable pages; as small as possible while still giving relevant information. Most of the videos don't list credits, and the newer ones just list Appearing, without "Writing" or "Editing" credits. I assume most of the first ones were written by Alex, and now it's Graham, but I'm not sure. We might just forego those credits while we don't know.
What does everyone else think?

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
I think they could have their own pages, as they are district creations, although sometimes linked. If they do have their own pages, I think we should make it as easy as possible to create them. I think I could make a template that creates an entry with all the necessary formatting and smw properties. Once we have the properties, we could use that to generate a table of episodes automatically.
One think that would make things even easier would be Semantic Forms. It is an extension to Semantic Mediawiki that lets to create and edit pages with forms rather than editing the wikitext. One example is shown here https://blog.semantic-web.at/2008/11/05/short-semantic-mediawiki-tutorial/ (see the add person screenshot, and there is an option to try it out). Semantic Forms lets fields autocomplete, so if you start typing Kath... it might guess you meant Kathleen, and you can set properties to have the appropriate input (tick-boxes, comboboxes, etc). It then passes the information to templates, that display the information and set the smw properties.
Semantic Forms is an extension, so would require someone (probably Paul?) to install it, but I think it could be very useful. In the case of Crapshots I think a form would be able to handle the whole page, but you could use a form to generate part of a page (probably the vital statistics bit). I think Feed Dump would be a good one to use it with, as it would make adding the vital statistics (which has the same format most weeks) easier, and that is a large chunk of the effort when writing an article. I think it could also handle uploading the related image.

So... a Crapshot navbar would consist of a link to the previous video, next video, and... a link to the video? Maybe a video to the original video for the first 104?

Most Crapshots are done through group writing. Either in like the way shown in the August LT, or sometimes through the internet parts of stuff will be written by someone and filled out later by another person. Even further when going out to film them sometimes they'll change to something else during the filming process.
Or at least this seems to have been the way of things for some time now.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
I'm going to work on an individual Crapshot page, and a navbar. We should get it hammered down, almost with the Semantic applications, before we make 250 of them.
EDIT: Did we ever figure out that thing we were thinking about, where the number of the episode automatically draws the "next" and "previous" episodes into the navigation template? This might not be necessary to implement in the main LRR series, but for Crapshots, which could have the number in their title... it seems like it could help.
For now, I'll do it the old fashioned way.

I'm currently editing the Video Availability article to remove the Blip.tv links(Blip is completely gone, and the Wayback Machine was unable to crawl it properly). As I go, since Blip and Revver are both completely gone, should I remove the Revver download links, too?

Well... does that information have any purpose anymore? I manually went through the list of videos LRR had that were on Blip before they went down and sent it to LRR, so... maybe not?
The list of videos that link to Revver might be useful to find more offline videos, but... well, it's up to you what you do to that page. I don't think I've ever used it.

Well, something to look into is the fact that, while LRR is starting to get their old videos up on YouTube, they haven't been updating the site accordingly. Maybe a list of the ones on the site that need updating would be better?

Good suggestions. How about when I'm done removing the old links, I add a section to the top listing all the videos that are broken in some way?

Feel free to play around with it. I have edited it to make it more like your template, and added the second episode to test the code. Incidentally it comes from a similar template for Feed Dump which I've added to some Feed Dump episodes, but there are quite a few I haven't changed over.
Have you considered my suggestions to install Semantic Forms? I go into more detail above, but I think it would be a very useful extension, making it easier, quicker and less error-prone to create and edit articles, or parts of articles. Here is an example form http://www.placeography.org/index.php?title=470_Hopkins_Street%2C_Saint_Paul%2C_Minnesota&action=formedit, and the resulting page http://www.placeography.org/index.php/470_Hopkins_Street%2C_Saint_Paul%2C_Minnesota. This shows you can use specific forms to include particular pieces of data (in our case AppearanceBy, ReleaseDate, etc), and free text fields that can use wikitext for the rest of the article (such as the Trivia section, or the synopsis). The Extension page is here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Semantic_Forms

I had trouble figuring out what you meant until you linked to that example.
That could be cool. We could ask Paul about that.
EDIT: Paul has been informed.
